Cadillac may be stealing a page out of the Lexus playbook. Lexus has been making inroads among luxury car buyers for more than 20 years now, but consumers seldome hear the connection between Lexus and its parent company, Toyota. Cadillac apparently is beginning to think about stiffing it's big daddy, GM, in the same way. Parents just don't get any respect any more, do they? Cadillac is erasing references to GM all over the place and even replacing "@gm.com" to "@cadillac.com" from corporate email addresses. It's kind of like installing Cadillac deflectors to keep the GM image away from their luxury cars.
