AVS Bug Deflectors Reviews

Perfect Fit

Reviewed By Lance S (Conroe, TX) Reviewed for a 2003 Ford Excursion —10/10/2014 6:17 AM

The AVS Bugflector II fit perfectly and looks good. No drilling or tapping new holes. The "smoke" color is dark - almost black, but very slightly transparent, which matches the tinted windows. My only complaint is that at highway speeds the middle of the deflector flutters somewhat. It is securely fastened to the vehicle but about 20" of the free, trailing edge, right in the center, flutters. This may not be a problem on narrower vehicles or ones with a different profile.

Up against it?

Reviewed By Richard W (Manchester, NH) Reviewed for a 2002 Ford Excursion —7/10/2008 8:34 PM

Best to "abut" rear view mirror base or not? It states in directions to abut the base of rear view mirror but this section has tape along the bottom this "abutting" edge suggesting it needs to adhere to a flat surface. also, nothing in directions indicating vent visors need to be applied to painted surface rather than the rubber lining around top of window. Called manufacturer to confirm that visor needs to be applied to painted surface.
