Stampede Vigilante Premium VP Series Hood Protectors Reviews

Nice fit & look for 2016 F-150

Really like the looks of the Stampede VP protector. Looks to be the same quality construction as my last Stampede which is 12 years old Like that it is wider than the hood to fully protect the fender corners. Installs without drilling. Would give it 5 stars, but the plastic anchors are not secure enough so I installed with 4 3/16" aluminum rivets instead(1/8 to 1/4" grip range). You will use the 2 metal clips to fasten the ends to the hood, plastic film is provided to prevent scratching

Great Product, small annoyance

Reviewed By steven s (Homestead, PA) Reviewed for a 2014 Ford F-150 —8/12/2016 6:32 PM

I really like my protectors, they fit great and look great, however I think they're a bit expensive for what you get imo. Also, I have the auto reverse winows that sense an obstruction. Per the online videos, I installed them and left my windows up for 48hrs. In fact I ended up leaving mine up for about 80hours. Well they dont, sometimes my windows go up with no problems, and others I have to pull out the deflector to get the window to close

Great product at an outstanding price

Easy installation as they are tape on. Ensure you are putting them on the door. I can't stress that enough. I read some reviews where people were putting these on the body of the truck. They go right above the window on the door.
