Like it, but directions suck

Reviewed By Brad B (Tacoma, WA) Reviewed for a 2012 Ford F-150 —9/3/2014 11:41 PM

Looks good, good material, good delivery and packaging. The directions are not as clear as they should be. Better pictures and better narrative could save someone from making a mistake and damaging their paint.

No drill installation seems to be working

Reviewed By Donald G (RICHMOND HILL, GA) Reviewed for a 2012 Ford F-150 —6/17/2013 1:02 PM

The instructions were hard to understand. A clear drawing would have helped tremendously. Once sorted out it went on and stayed on. It is a two person job to get the clips properly centered but no problems once it is installed. The first shield arrived with a drooping corner but was promptly replaced with a new perfect one. AutoAnything's customer service made the exchange easy and painless.

Two Sided Tape a Must

Reviewed By Robert W (Manassas, VA) Reviewed for a 2012 Ford F-150 —6/14/2012 5:18 AM

Thank goodness for previous reviews or I'd still be scratching my head how to get the grill off of my 2012 F-150. YouTube had a guy using a special tool to remove the grill from the hood. That wasn't shipped in the box from EGR. So forget the clamps and purchase the two-sided molding tape from your local auto store. It's easy, secure, and fast. However, you will need the under-the-hood hardware. The disadvantage is it will be a pain to remove but hopefully that will not be necessary. I recommend placing the tape along the top of the grill first. To mount, clip the ends of the deflector under the hood and lift middle over the tape using the middle clamp hole as your centering guide. Align the bottom edge of the deflector to where the grill and hood meets, press down. Once secure, attach the ends of the deflector under the hood. That's it, done! It looks great.
