My Bugflector II fits my Tundra perfectly. I had to remove the grill from the hood to install the Bugflector and then reinstall the grill to hold the Buglector in place. It's just how they fit on Tundras, but it was so simple to do, took maybe 15 or 20 minutes and I was done. The second day I noticed the double-sided tape which holds the two ends in place was peeling up just a little, so I drilled a small pilot hole through the existing holes in the bug shield and used the two screws that were supplied to hold it in place for good. The Bugflector II has such a good fit and really makes my hood look a lot better. It cuts down on bugs a lot but I really wanted it to stop small rocks from chipping the paint on my hood. Money well spent.

The only issue I have with this part is the expanding fasteners. They work adequately on the two side holes, but in the middle where you need to take off the hood bumper and replace it over the shield, the fasteners seem a bit short and too narrow for the holes in the hood for an adequate secure fit. I added extra screws (two in the hood bumper areas, two on the outer sides) just to be more confident. The finished assembly looks very nice.

I have purchased and installed other bug shields on other vehicles that I have owned, and have never encountered this. After following the install directions, I decided to go for a drive to test the fit and performance of the bug shield. The grooves in the inside lip of the deflector matched up with the underside of the hood, and the screws were properly installed with the washers. The shield was measured and centered on the hood. Under 50 mph, there were no problems, but at highway speeds, the amount of wind noise and vibration from the shield was louder than the car itself. At 70 mph, the front end of my SUV actually became unstable and started to drift in the lane due to the change in wind deflection over the front of my vehicle. I will be requesting a full refund for this product.

The AVS Bugflector II arrived in good shape. The price through AutoAnything was great. The appearance off our Toyota Highlander looked escellent and we anticipated it looking just as excellent on the car. Unfortunately, although the quality of the Bugfector appears excellent, the quality control is poor because the installation holes were improperly positioned, thus preventing installation. Two times we called the manufacturer for help and were told that a "tech" would call us back. We never got a call back. Finally, we called AutoAnything, spoke with a charming representative and got the help we needed. We are currently in the process of returning the BugFlector through AutoAnything to get a replacement that has installation holes in the right place. We are optimistic that our replacement AVS Bugflector II will install easily, perform well and deserve to be rated excellent across-the-board....
