Not impressed

"The main reason I got the UV shield was to cut down on the heat in my car after a long day of it sitting in the sun while I am at work. I have not done scientific testing to see if there is any temperature difference, but there is no perceivable difference in temperature with or without the shield. I have tinted windows (38%, max in NC) and a black leather interior, and the only window without tinting is the windshield. I really want to be happy with this shield, but I'm just not."

Wow, REALLY beats the heat!

"After reading several reviews prior to my purchase of the sunshade, I made my order with confidence in a half-way decent product. After having it for a while now, I am truly impressed. The construction is such that it is easy even for my wife to whip into place, and the temperature in the car has really been reduced compared to my old cloth sunshade. The only drawback is the cover - it is never used. My wife uses the sunshade religiously, and never takes the time to put it inside its cover. It is mostly on the vehicle, so she doesn't take the time to store it when driving, but simply folds it up accordion style and slides it in the back seat over the console. It is a great product, and I am looking forward to comment on its longevity at a later date."

"This sun shade works better than any other that I've tried. My car feels much cooler when I enter it after being out in the sun all day. It has a reflective color and also a layer of insulation that keeps UV rays and heat out of the car."

Great Shade For the Valley Of the Sun

"I purchased the Covercraft Custom Sun Shade for my daughter's new Nissan Murano and she is using it everyday. This is the best window shade on the market; we've used the premium foil type shades from the dealer and car parts stores which after a few months are barely stiff enought to stay up in the window and frustrating to re-fold when putting them away. I'm going to order another Custom Covercraft shade for my '02 Toyota Tacoma in the next week or so; we had something a simillar type shade we purchase with our Durango a few years back and was very pleased with it; the shade had the Dodge ram logo on it and cost twice what we paid for it through AutoAnything. The extra cost of this product over the foil type shades is well worth the $20 or so dollars you'll pay for this "custom fit" quality product. - Rob in Mesa, Arizona"

"The fit of the Covercraft UV Sun Shield in the 2007 Toyota 4Runner was near perfect. One star was deducted only due to the larger than expected gap found where the UV Sun Shield fits around the rear-view mirror. Other than that, the UV Sun Shield does a fantastic job of keeping the interior of the car cooler on the hottest summer days in the Mid-Atlantic."

"This Sun Shade fit my 97 Accord much better than the one fit my 06 F350. However, the packaging was deficient and the Sun Shade was received bent causing an unsightly crease in the product. Not enough damage for me to return it, but enough to cause dissatisfaction."

"I bought the UV shield for my Tacoma Truck. It fits perfectly to block the UV rays from the dash, and helps tremendously lowering the temps in the truck. It Looks great and the quality of this product is outstanding! If your looking for a sun shade that will last as long as you have your vehicle, then look no further than this product."

"the shield i purchased for my new VW R32 fits very well. unfortunately, the same cannot be said of a covercraft shield i purchased from you about a year ago for my porsche cayman s. in order for that shield to stay in place, clothespins are needed to keep it in place! not a cool look for the porsche."
