A fine sunshade

This sunshade is very nicely made, and the fit is perfect. A minor quibble is that it's a bit hard to install and remove simply because the individual segments are rigid. But that seems a small price to pay for a superb fit.

Been looking for a sunshade for my new car. Nothing fit. Even Chevrolet didn't have a sunshade for this car! After much research I found Auto Anything (AA) and called them. I did find it odd that AA didn't have the measurements (I'd recommend putting the measurements on the website). Regardless, the the sales person was very nice and assured me that if it didn't fit I could return without having to pay for shipping. Good news - it fit perfectly!

First of all, the sunshade is very well built. I have no complaints on the build quality or materials used. It also performs as expected, and keeps the car cooler. However, it's very cumbersome to put up. The folds are large enough to where it cannot be easily unfolded. It has to be unfolded before the bottom is placed on the dash. The fit is okay. There's a gap along both sides and the top. The gap along the sides is about 1/2", and about 1" on top. The visors are required for support.

This is a very good sunshade. Keep my vehicle cool when it's out in the summer. The fit is good. It could be just a tiny bit wider to totally block out the sun coming in from the sides -- but overall, a good sunshade.

Hi, The "With" Auto High beam cars most likely have a sensor on the dash or rear view mirror which would require a differently shaped sun shade.

Why chrome color is not available like 99% of other brands?
I thought that chrome color is the most reflective color and the best to protect and reject the direct sunlight and that's why 99% of other brands of sunshields are only available on chrome. How come Covercraft doesn't have them on "highly reflective chrome" and only are made with light reflective colors? I am missing something?

I'm sure Covercraft has done extensive testing to maximize the cooling effect in the interior of their test vehicles. Having a chrome finish does not necessarily mean that a surface will remain cool by reflecting all of the energy of the sun. If it were true, chrome bumpers or mirrors left out in the sun would never get hot.

I chose gold because a) it's my favorite color, and b) it matches my gold Plymouth Voyager. And I can tell you from experience that this golden shield works wonders!

Hello Andrew. The Covercraft shades are made in light metallic colors in order to aid reflection of the heat of sun rays. The lighter the color, the more successfully the shade will be able to protect your interior and keep it cool. The silver color would be a perfect choice, however they're all great shades and would all do the job nicely. Hope that helps!

Just purchased a 2012 Honda Fit and looking at one of these sunshades because of the large windshield area of glass. I see it described as "2 piece", but after watching the video and reading the description I'm not sure where the "2 piece" comes into play. Looks to be all "1 piece" to me. Could you please explain.

Hi. We have a 2012 Ford Focus with rain sensor. Can you tell me if the Covercraft sunshade will fit on that windshield and, if not, what the problem would be with the fit?

It doesn’t matter what kind of sensor you have on the dash, these sun shades will work perfectly fine. They just cover the windows from the inside. They are made specifically to fit around the inner windshield.

I'm interested in the covercraft sunshade for my 2012 Ford Focus 5door Hatchback. Been researching sunshades and most sites only give the option for sedans. Is the windshield size the same for the sedan and hatchback? Also how would I know if my car has a rain sensor, I really don't know what that is referring to...

Thank you for contacting AutoAnything. The Covercraft sunshade will work for any 2012 Focus. The windshields are all the same. The only exception is the rain sensor. If you have one it will be fairly obvious. It turns your wipers on automatically when it rains and you can see the sensor that detects this.

Hello. The 2013 Hyundai Elantra has the same body style as the 2011-2012 Hyundai Elantra. I personally don’t see a problem with the Covercraft Car Sun Shade fitting your vehicle as well, since there wasn’t a design change. Thank you for your question!
