While I do not have any suggestions on how to make installation easier, my pickup is outside all the time. This is an excellent time saver when you need to be going quickly. A few days ago after being covered over a weekend, I removed cover to find only a couple very small pieces of ice. They did not obstruct my vision so I did not have to waste gas letting vehicle warm-up for an extended period of time. I really like this cover!

This windshield snow shade is awesome! Good quality, sturdy and attractive. Fits the 4runner windshield perfectly. Easy to set up (1st time to adjust strap) and super easy to use. Great for my son's car which sits out in the driveway - much easier than scraping snow and ice off every day.

My snow shade arrived the day before we were expecting 3 inches of snow. My husband and I went out and was amazed how easy it was to put on. The next morning, I went out, unhooked the straps inside the car and was truly amazed how easy it was to remove.......the shade AND the snow!!! Since then, it has been used a couple of more times. It is a one person on/off shade!

Bought these for two of our cars that sleep outside. After you adjust the sizing of the plastic snap clip, it is easily a less-than-60-second install when snow is expected. Had sleet, snow here in Denver earlier this week, so was able to try them out. They work exactly as advertised. Brushed off the snow from car, then removed the snow shield. The windshield was TOTALLY clear (just like our cars that sleep in the garage). No more ice scraping needed on the front. Would highly recommend.

The window flaps that tuck in seem to be quite high up - my concern is wind blowing the lower part up. Is the shield designed to go under the wipers and thereby hold it down?

Hi, The cover is designed to go under the wipers.

It looks real good for snow. What about the ice? Does the windshield wipers stick to it when there is a lot of ice?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Sep 04, 2012 5:13 PM
Hello. The Intro-Tech Windshield cover is fantastic for ice as well. The wipers would not stick to the mat, but could possibly get stuck in ice, if there is a lot of that. Overall that's pretty unlikely. Thank you for your question.

I'm looking to keep snow of my windshield easily for when it gets frosty and frozen. This looks like a perfect solution. How long do you think it will last in really snow conditions?

My son has a 2012 KIA, Forte. You indicate that you do not have a windshield cover for that model. You do have a cover for the 2011 model. Would that fit a 2012 KIA as well?

Would be buying this for my son who lives in an apartment complex. Worried about someone stealing it? How does it affix to the windshield? Is there any strap that goes on the inside of the vehicle? Thanks.
Answered by Rob F. — Oct 27, 2010 10:35 AM
Hey Debbie, There are flaps on each side that close in the door to keep it secure. Check out the 3rd image in Additional Views above for an example. Thanks, Rob
