Built like Ft. Knox from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel and lined with firearm-grade interlocking foam. Rolled edges make this bad boy tough, yet smooth to the touch.

I've got background/experience in construction welding/metal work.  This is the only lock box/security vault under $300 that I'd consider.  It does have it's weak points and it could be defeated, but it would take much more time with this box than with any of the other products out there under $300--particulary the cable secured boxes, which are really a joke!  You'd be surprised at the compact cutting devices that will quickly sever a cable.

When one uses a lockbox it's like installing a sign telling a theif where the valuables are kept.  So the box better be strong enough to fend off a focused attack.  This box can take it.  For all other boxes under $300 a person would be better off just hiding their valuables in nooks and crannies and hoping a theif doesn't find them.  

The box functions smoothly and it's a very useful feature to be able to remove the box from the bracket without unlocking it.  This allows keeping the box locked in the passenger compartment for convenience but then securing it into the bracket in the trunk when leaving the vehicle.  That's real advantage as most modern vehicles have very little unused interior space in the passenger compartment allowing a box to be adequately secured out of the way and out of sight.

I bought this security box to mount in the console and keep my Glock model 30 secure and for anything else I need to keep safe! Turn the key half way and the box comes out of it's holder and turn it all the way and the box opens up! Easy install...took me 15 minutes to install! Even a caveman could do it! Fast shipping and a great price as always from autoanything!!!

This is just a little too large for the installation I had planned.  I have one in my full-size SUV and it works well.  Quality is good and the level of security is great for the cost.  Obviously this is my second purchase of the Aries Lock Box, so I've been satisfied.

The lock box seems to do the job, but autoanything has not fulfilled my expectations since I ordered a second sleeve and have not received it, even though it was shipped at the same time in different boxes.

This lock box was a great idea and its quality is outstanding. The feature of being able to move it between multiple vehicles is great (I bought an extra mounting sleeve for my wife's car).  The price was also fair. I purchased the non-stainless model because I did not want the box to stand out while I was transporting it (didn't want to cause attention to a shinny stainless steel box). Overall, great product at a great price!

This box is great if you need to secure a small item in both your vehicle and home. I looked at several solutions and this was by far the best. With a second sleeve it is a snap (literally) to move items securely from the vehicle to house without having to take them out of the box. The overally quality was great and I am very happy with my purchase.
