"very nice device for the reasonable price but the mounting device could be much improved. The mounting device is cheaply constructed but the hammer itself is constructed quite well."

"Not the quality I was looking for. I purchased a better one from Eddie Bauer. Much more durable with better mounting system. This product is okay, but it is not a great value."

"I got this for my wife as she let me in on a little known fear - that at some point during our travels she will not be able to get our children out of the car after a bad accident. I got her the Life Hammer and it's bright color stands out in the glove compartment. Excellent choice to calm my wife's fears!"

"This item is cheaply made and worth a fraction of the cost. The weight of the hammer is so light that it would be a miracle to be able to break anything with it let alone a thick windshield. A complete waste of money!"

"I have a Nissan Titan SE KC and got a Lifehammer in the event my power windows/doors ever lock to the point that I can't get out. I haven't had to use it in my truck and hope I never do- but have used it on some cars at the junkyard (w/ permission) and the hardened steel tips definitely shatter the glass. The razor can also cut through some pretty tight seatbelts too. I plan on buying another one for my company car so that if I ever end up in a lake I can escape. I'd recommend to anyone looking for added safety in their vehicles!"

"Great Idea! 5 Stars! Everyone should have 1 in his/her Vehicle(s). God forbid if anyone should have to use 1 but if they did, this will be a Big/Great Help. I have 1 for each of my Vehicles, 06 Toyota Tacoma, 06 Infiniti QX56 and a 06 Infiniti G35. I will Probably give 1 to each of my family/siblings for a Gift of sorts. I hope no one in my Family should ever have to need it but if they do, we have one in all our Vehicles. I taught my Children how to use it and where to find it in the car when needed. If you don't have 1, get 1 or more now! I also got an Emergency Flashlight for all my Vehicles too! It has 2 sharp points to Crack the Glass also and a Belt Cutter (its not as Heavy Duty as the Life Hammer though). I got them all from autoanything.com and if you don't get from them (autoanything.com) just get 1 anyways from somewhere/anywhere you like. This is a absolute MUST have! Thanks AutoAnything.com without your WebSite I wouldn't have a Clue about these Emergency Products. Lata!"

"This product is exactly what I wanted. It was featured on the Today Show where they interviewed a woman whose child died in an accident when the car was submerged and they couldn't get the seatbelt unfastened.The child might have survived had there been a Life Hammer in the car. After that interview, these hammers were nowhere to be found in the stores. I'm so glad I found them at AutoAnything--and the price was a bit lower than what I had seen in the stores. I gave one to everyone in my family for Christmas, hoping they'd never be needed."
