Installation was a somewhat challenging since the license plate is on the hatchback door and the backup lights are in the rear bumper. Had to drill the door to lead the camera wire into the car, but thankfully the camera cable connector is almost as small as the cable. Once installed, it worked immediately and became indispensable immediately.

Install went pretty easy with no real problems. Wish instructions or on box mention if any extra parts were needed. Did not include scotch locks to tap into wire for camera.

I found the instructions not to be very helpful as they didn't cover the instillation on my truck as to where to place the transmitter for the best signal to the screen. I also found there was no screws supplied with the kit and there was no bracket to attach to the transmitter as the instructions indicated there should be. I also had to make a custom bracket for it as these suction cups never stay attached for very long and the a/c adaptor was too short.

I purchased this camera for my 2011 Chevy Silverado. The license plate camera was easy to install, since I already installed the wiring needed for the connection. The monitor has a good clear picture with color coded distance bars. I am using the power adaptor. I also hard wired the monitor and have the same voltage as the power adaptor, but the monitor does not work. I called the phone number, talked to a technician but he had no explanation on why it did not work or had any help at all.

It was very simple to install but I have a lot of interference to the LCD unit. Can you give me some directions of where to mount the transmitter?

Installed on my Tahoe when I realized that I can not see clearly behind the vehicle. Having a camera on my Prius has been a safety feature that is appreciated. Directions were clear and shown step by step installation. Had not any difficulty on installation except I cut the camera wire laying under the rear sill plate. Repaired wire easily. Mounted monitor on dash with with provided vent hook...works great. Installed the camera on the rubber cover of bumper to avoid covering license plate.

Good product making hitching up to a trailer easy, and with potential life saving features. However, poorly worded and hard-to-follow instructions with inaccurate depictions make for a very difficult installation. Get some decent installation instructions and the overall product would be great on all accounts -- or have the installation done by a professional.
