VDP Overhead Storage Shelf Part #SH2275 Customer Reviews

They do look good, but they should extend all the way to the windshield to be truly functional. Also, once everything is up and the sun visors are installed it really reduces the visibility of the windshield. You loose about 9-10 inches of height from the ceiling.

I had a shelf in the 90's on an F-150. Loved it and wanted another. This was the only one I could find for my 2010 F-250. It sucks. It is super narrow. And the visors do not fit on it properly. They hang over the shelf by a couple inches when closed. There is no way to mount the visor clip hold unless you drill holes in the shelf to modify. And on my vehicle, the driver visor blocked a few inches of the rear view mirror. I decided to cut my losses and took it back off.

I installed the overhead storage unit. First, there are no provisions made for the "free" end of the visor. to install screws would leave them "exposed" on the uppper surface where if a person was carring something that would not want to be scratched, IT WOULD HAPPEN (possibbly "Blind nuts or Gripserts"). Next, the location of the visors themselves. they now stick way back into the passenger space. when entering or exiting the cab, one must "duck" to avoid hitting your head! Suggest moving the visor "recessed area" mounting tabs) farther forward would allow proper storage of the visor and would provide a place for the "free end" hanger. Next (and last) the foam provied as a cushion in the storage unit "rises up" on top of the visor mounting screws. Again, blind nuts or gripserts with proper length bolts

No more digging through my console to look for a CD. I keep my sunglasses and my GPS out of sight and right in reach. It perfectly matches my interior color and was very easy to install. Would recommend this anyone looking to keep things in reach but not in sight!
