Professional grade

On all the offroad forums, you hear folks talking about the benefits of the Yellow Top. I'm not a serious offroader, per se, but I am planning a trip in the next few days. My stock, lead acid battery was prone to some acid sloshing up and out which had begun corroding the battery hold down. It was also too weak to power a winch, not enough CCA. That's where the Yellow Top is champ. I'm somewhere 750+ CCA and the AGM technology means it is spillproof. I got this one from AutoAnything as a secondary battery to mount in a toolbox with my dual battery charging system. I now run additonal auxilliary lights and an inverter off of this one. The deep cycle capability is clutch in this regards as it can be drained down and bounce back time and time again. This will be great for camping. I've done some basic tests, the real test is this weekend.

Money well spent

This battery is worth every penny. Just buy it, you won't be disappointed. We have a remote start on our conversion van that is parked outside in Minnesota. -10 degrees and it starts strong with absolutely no hesitation. I'll never buy anything else again.

Odyssey Battery for my Suburban with a Cummins

Reviewed By IVAN Y (GAP MILLS, WV) Reviewed for a 2001 Chevy Suburban —1/23/2015 9:15 AM

I have worn out two of another premium battery in my Suburban with a Cummins engine. All the batteries I have used crank my engine just fine when they are new, but they don't last well enough. One cold winter puts a lot of stress on a battery and then by the next winter, my battery was too weak to run the intake heater and still crank my Cummins. So I purchased a Odyssey battery this time and hope that it will last me at least several years. I will know two years from now if it was worth it.
