Bubb Rubb and Lil' Sis
Two community friendly siblings from Oakland, CA who received 15 minutes of fame by introducing us to the fascinating world of whistle tips.
Chrome plating
Chrome plating is a finishing treatment utilizing a thin, decorative bright layer typically over an underlying nickel plate. The result is a brilliant, mirror-like reflectivity on all kinds of automotive trim. The downside to chrome plating is that the decorative layer can be chipped or peeled off over time.
Mild steel
Mild steel is a steel alloy with lowered requirements for metals typical of stainless alloys. While they are more corrosion-prone than stainless steel tubes, mild steel tubes are typically powder-coated to prevent corrosion or chrome-plated for appearance.
Natural Selection
The term coined by evolutionary biologist Charles Darwin in his 1859 work The Origin of Species. Natural selection is basically nature's way of choosing shirts and skins for evolutionary gym class. The same way a farmer chooses the strongest crops and livestock to continue breeding with, so too nature selects only the most virile species to evolve. Only here, if you're the last one chosen, you're probably extinct.
Neanderthal Man
The Neanderthal (Homo neanderthalensis) were species of the Homo genus said to be ancestors to the Homo sapien (that's us). They inhabited parts of Asia and Europe about 200,000 years ago. The Neanderthal left evidence of tools crafted of stone and wood, but no sign of auto accessorizing has been found to date.

The corrosion of metals in its most common form is called rust. Through a complex process of oxidation, the iron compounds contained in metal corrode when introduced to the presence of oxygen and water.
This specialized steel alloy provides the strength of steel and outstanding corrosion resistance. Stainless steel generally includes higher nickel and/or chromium in the alloy mixture to eliminate rust worries. Plus, stainless steel can be polished to an incredible shine that rivals or outperforms the look of chrome plating.
A pillar of solid iron built around 400 A.D. by the king Kumara Gupta in honor of the Hindu god, Vishnu. The pillar, a testament to the skills of the ancient Indian metallurgists, stands 23 feet tall and weighs in at over 6 tons. Though not truly stainless steel by definition, the Iron Pillar of Delhi has been standing rust free for over 1600 years.
