Description

Crafted from aluminized or stainless steel tubing, The Bassani Y-Pipe does away with the stock practice of crimp bends. Instead, careful mandrel bending is used to create a free-flowing exhaust path that eliminates backpressure while enhancing scavenging.

Take your pick of Y-Pipes: with a catalytic converter or without cats. Cat-equipped Bassani Y-Pipes use all factory emissions mounting points, meaning your emissions stay low. Or, go without cats for wide-open flow.

"I love the y pipe......... i got a decent amount of power out of it and I'm getting 2 miles per gallon better at the pump ...... my only complaint is the pipe lays right next to the tranny cooling lines."

"This was a simple bolt on upgrade that increased power and gas milage. And still was cheaper than replacing with the OEM part. And passed California's strict smog test. I reccommened you get this part, cause nothing will beat it."

"This site dosent notify you that you need the special "bassani reducers" to install on a stock 302 manafold. It says its a bolt on replacement, but its not. I got the Y-pipe in VERY quickly (only took 2days from my order day to be delivered)but once i tried to install on my truck i needed the reducers,it took over a week and a half to get them in. Over all the Bassani Y-pipe is GREAT! It sounds better than ever, just wish i would have known about the reducers sooner."

"Excellent product. Far superior to others. Fit like a glove. Even though it was rated for a F150 it went on the F250 without a hitch. I would recommend this pipe to anyone wanting more from their exhaust and needing quality to boot. You may need a Y fitting for the emissions hoses however that is easy. Noticable difference."

"Y-pipe looked great when i opened it up. went on with a perfect fit. I couldn't believe how compact the cat was. The truck sounds awesome now, hard to tell if i picked up any mpg. I can tell a difference in power though."

Nicely Finished Piece, But a Couple of Gripes

"Well-made and nicely finished, with a tiny, well-integrated cat, this makes the OEM dual-cat setup I took off the truck look like one of Frankenstein's creations. I put shorty headers on at the same time and it didn't bolt up to them as easily as I'd have liked, but to be fair it may have fit the stock exhaust manifolds better. My two real gripes: (1) it fits a little too close to the oil pan for my taste, and even touches the OEM tranny cooler lines (not yet sure how I'll address that); (2) the y-pipe wasn't long enough to connect to my existing Gibson cat back once I'd cut off the short section of pipe that necked down to 2-1/4" to mate with the stock y-pipe, meaning I'll have to get a new 2-foot plus length of 3" pipe to finish the install. Sure would've been nice if they'd made the y-pipe itself 3-4 inches longer so I could've cut it to fit using just a $2 union instead of having to buy the new length of pipe as well. Truck's still going back together so I haven't run it yet, but I'm obviously hoping for noticeable power/driveability gains (and maybe even a bit better gas mileage, though I'm not expecting any miracles there). If that's the case, I'd bump it up to 4 stars and I'll do the same setup on my '95 Bronco."

"Would have given 5 stars except the angle to the manifolds was off... only slightly still fit after some swearing. Absolutely awesome sytem!!! Great flow, great sound works great. Catalytic Converter so small the shop I took the truck to for inspection questioned whether I had one. Only $100 more than factory, but DEFINITELY worth it."
