Description

Gas burners rejoice! MBRP has turned their diesel exhaust know-how to gas-powered trucks. Your rig gets all the sound and power MBRP's known for in an all-new gas system: the MBRP Performance Cat-Back Exhaust.

MBRP starts with smooth mandrel-bent pipes carefully designed to meet 50-state smog laws. Next, free-flowing mufflers deliver the boss performance and gnarly rumble expected from MBRP—without annoying cab drone.

For a truly custom system, MBRP lets you choose the metal type: aluminized steel, T-409 stainless, or T-304 stainless. Clearly, the MBRP Performance Cat-Back Exhaust packs everything your truck could want from a set of pipes.

To cap your new system off, MBRP also provides the mirror-polished stainless steel tips. And, since the bolt-on installation requires no drilling or welding, you and your rig are up and rumblin’ in no time.

Notes

  • T-304 stainless steel: high chromium and nickel content; the most corrosion-resistant material in the industry.
  • T-409 stainless steel: high-grade low carbon steel; excellent corrosion resistance and strength.
  • Aluminized steel: high-quality 16-guage steel; aluminized to resist corrosion, the most cost-effective alternative

"MBRP exhaust was by far one of the best modifications you can install. It took me longer to disassembly the old muffler, than to install the new system. Great step by step instructions. Awesome sound and performance. It only took 45 minutes to install the cat-back system. No special tools required. GREAT PRICE FOR GREAT PERFORMANCE."

Had to Cut MBRP Pipes to Fit

"I had trouble fitting this exhaust onto my Tacoma because the extension pipe was 13" too long. MBRP's customer service was great and they instructed me to assemble the pipe from the tailpipe towards the cat and then cut the extension pipe to fit. They explained that the system is made for the longest wheelbase configuration (crew cab long bed) and all short bed versions would need to cut the extension pipe, so this is not a true bolt-on system. I also had a little trouble getting the tailpipes to be even. Its a touch off but not by much. They sound great!"

"For the money the S5000AL can’t be beat! The box showed up at the door a day late because of fed-ex not because of autoanything.com. Upon inspection it could have been packed much better, both of the main tubes had damage from being dropped during shipping. And this required some massaging (big hammer) to get the parts to fit together proper. It is a DYI system after all. The finish is great; it should last for a good long time down here in the south. And the sound after a short time of break-in is good, not too loud or too quite. At idle it has a nice deep sound and at WOT has a nice growl, but you can still hear yourself thinking and have a nice conversation with others. Minus the damage, a great system for the money!!"

"I was very surprised at the ease of installation of this product even with the lift kit in my truck. The system sounds throaty its loud when you want it to be and quiet when you need it to be. The performance was very noticeable especially because i have the 2.5 liter and my highway performance was astonishingly better. My gas mileage went up as my 0-60 time went down. It looks awesome and its design keeps it tucked away from big rocks and such. Overall i would rate this product a 10 of 10. I firmly believe this is the next thing you should buy for your jeep!"

"The exhaust kit was very simple to install. One hanger bracket was missing but MBRP took care of that very quickly! This is the third MBRP exhaust that I have installed and this one was easier than the diesels. The fit, finish and quality is very high, the sound is not too loud as it is one of the best sounding exhausts that I have heard on a Hemi."

"I like the 304 stainless, 409 WILL rust.I priced a competitive system that was made of 409 that cost more; glad I found this. This system is a little louder at speed than the Gibson system I had, but not ridiculously loud. The polished tip had a dent in it, even tho it was in a padded box! I let it go because it didn't show. Don't use the saddle clamps that come with it, I used Torctite #33223, a quality band clamp. Summit has them for $10. Stack 2 extra nuts on each stud of your cat pipe-to-head pipe flange to take up the space so you can torque the connection w/o bowing the flange. Apply anti-seize to pipe joints & all threads."

"Great product. Deep aggressive tone that isnt too loud and just loud enough. I suggest getting heat wrap or having the exhaust welded post installation as I had some leaking with the clamps and cut insert pieces. Get yourself some PB Blaster to help get the OEM hangers off and the nuts. Save yourself some energy and cut the outpipe from the factory muffler and itll come off like a dream. Definitely added power to my truck and sounds like a beast now. Why pay more for the samething... GO MBRP After installing this I added a Volant CAI.. GREAT MATCH. Huge power gains and throttle response, along with that roaring sound."

"I bought this exhaust to replace a failing year old banks exhaust. I bought the pro duals. Great fit, great looks, great sound, and the biggest thing, no deafening drone like the banks. At first the exhaust didn't seem very loud, but once the pipes warm up and you step on it, wow. The sound i've been looking for. Nice rumble at normal throttle, wide open hemi sound when to the floor. I've noticed a slight increase in mileage, maybe not more power but definately smoother acceleration. Great exhaust and great service from autoanything!"

"Very well engineered with the highest quality material. My only issue is the pipe which you have to cut based on your truck bed lenght is not correct. My bed lenght is 5 feet 5 inches. The instructions say to cut the pipe at 31 inches. I would have been much better off at 33 inches. I had to use the clamps to cover the gaps. I had bought a Banks system a year plus ago and took it off because it was so loud in the cab you could not hear your self think. I bought this system based on the reviews. At speed the soft drone is fantastic. On acceleration, OH YEAH!!!!! Get yours on orders and feel the difference!! Jim"

"I like my Jeep Unlimited, except the engine is a little down on power and the exhaust note is sour. So I had my local mechanic replace my original exhaust with an MBRP Cat Back EXhaust System. I am very happy with the results. The power gain is slight, but noticeable. The mileage has improved about 1.5mpg and the best part is the throaty tone of the exhaust. Not overly loud and yet loud enough to be noticed even with the radio on. Very nice improvement to my Jeep."

"A few pipe sections were bent-in (probably during shipping), which required some re-shaping with a hammer and whatever I had laying around. The expansion piece does not account for the small nipple on the stock Y-pipe, so that needed to be grounded off. The saddle clamps that come with the system are junk and left leaks everywhere, so I bought some band clamps (3), which are much better. Overall, it sounds good and looks good. I guess that's why they charge less for the "installer" series. Needs a little love to get everything on right."

"Overall this is a great exhaust system. but Autoanything is very slow at shipping. yeah the shipping is free but at the cost of taking 10 days to be delivered..... if the shipping had not taken soo long i would have absolutely no complaints what so ever. But overall it is a great system and sounds really nice. not over bearing. no drone in the cab. It really made the motor breathe easier and has increased my gas mileage about 1-2 mpg. I would definitely recommend this system to anyone. it was a nice change from the noisy dual exhaust i had on the truck prior to this. It doesnt sound weak by any means though. sounds very aggressive and powerful"

"This exhaust went into my truck with no major problems. The tips look really good and the sound is just what I was looking for. Not obnoxious loud but definitly louder than stock. Sounds good. The ONE problem though is the clamps. They dont do a very good job. I am definitly going to bring my truck into a local shop and have at least the tailpipes welded. The driver's side one is about a 1/2 inch lower than the passenger side because it wont stay tight where it connects to the over the axle pipe. Other than that, so far so good. I recommend it."
