Description

Gas burners rejoice! MBRP has turned their diesel exhaust know-how to gas-powered trucks. Your rig gets all the sound and power MBRP's known for in an all-new gas system: the MBRP Performance Cat Back Exhaust.

MBRP starts with smooth mandrel-bent pipes carefully designed to meet 50-state smog laws. Next, free-flowing mufflers deliver the boss performance and gnarly rumble expected from MBRP—without annoying cab drone.

For a truly custom system, MBRP lets you choose the metal type: aluminized steel, T-409 stainless, or T-304 stainless. Clearly, the MBRP Performance Cat Back Exhaust packs everything your truck could want from a set of pipes.

To cap your new system off, MBRP also provides the mirror-polished stainless steel tips. And, since the bolt-on installation requires no drilling or welding, you and your rig are up and rumblin’ in no time.

Notes

  • T-304 stainless steel: high chromium and nickel content; the most corrosion-resistant material in the industry.
  • T-409 stainless steel: high-grade low carbon steel; excellent corrosion resistance and strength.
  • Aluminized steel: high-quality 16-guage steel; aluminized to resist corrosion, the most cost-effective alternative

"This exhaust went into my truck with no major problems. The tips look really good and the sound is just what I was looking for. Not obnoxious loud but definitly louder than stock. Sounds good. The ONE problem though is the clamps. They dont do a very good job. I am definitly going to bring my truck into a local shop and have at least the tailpipes welded. The driver's side one is about a 1/2 inch lower than the passenger side because it wont stay tight where it connects to the over the axle pipe. Other than that, so far so good. I recommend it."

"I was please with the overall installation process and experience of the MBRP Performance Exhaust System. However I did encountered a problem with the installation. My Chevy truck has a crossmemer support right before were the MPRB exhaust system connects to the original exhaust collectors from the cats. This installed MPRB system rest on this crossmember and causes a loud vibrating sound. I will have to make some sort of modification, not good! I've notice a performance gain and it sounds great for a single pipe similar to the original exhaust."

"I have been searching for the perfect exhaust for my 2008 GMC sierra extended cab 6.6 ft. box, for it seems about a month, and i finally came across the MBRP Dual exhaust systems. I am pleased to say that the fit and finish of the stainless steel XP series is exceptional. The overall process took about an hour to install and straighten out. I noticed a power gain when down shifting the truck and bringing it up into the 4 to 5000 rpm range, as well as a ead turning sound that is quite unique on its own. There is low cab resonance when at at a cruising speed and quite a powerful agressive tone that puts a smile across my face everytime i step on it. I would highly reccomend this exhaust to anyone that is looking for a long lasting exhaust with a lifetime of enjoyment."

"Can't beat this system for the price. Not excesively loud but sounds very good. The hardest part of installation was removing the factory exhaust. Great exhaust for the price. Would recomend this to anyone."

"I like this exhuast alot. My only complaint is that the instructions are not very good for installtion. To be noted the clamps need to be at the ends of the overlapping pipe to get the best seal. Had I known this then I wouldn't have wasted so much time tightening and readjusting the clamps to the point I rounded some of the nuts. Also I think there should be a what to expect after you've insalled the the exhaust. I.E. if your leaking from any of the seals or that after it heats up the minor leaks will seal on their own."
