Description

Rejoice! MBRP's diesel exhaust expertise has expanded to an army of custom pipes for gas-powered trucks. Your rig gets all the sound, power and fuel mileage that comes with the MBRP name in an all-new gas system: the MBRP Sport Truck Exhaust.

Mandrel-bent pipes. Careful fittings that preserve smog-legal compliance. A free-flowing muffler for boss performance sound that's more pleasant than loud. And, your choice of metal types for a truly custom system: value-based aluminized steel, mid-grade 409 steel, and top-of-the-line 304 stainless steel. Clearly, the MBRP Sport Truck Exhaust packs everything a truck could want from a set of pipes.

You'll have no troubles when it comes to installation. That's because MBRP takes the time to ensure a perfect fit that requires no drilling and leaves the welder alone. What's even better, MBRP's Sport Truck Exhaust carries an outstanding warranty: 3-years on aluminized and a Lifetime Warranty on 409 and 304 stainless exhausts.

Notes

  • Not all MBRP Sport Truck Exhausts are available in all 3 metal types. Select your vehicle above to view the exhaust systems available for your specific model.
  • Aluminized Steel has been hot-dip coated with a special, corrosion-resistant aluminum-silicon alloy. Aluminized steel gives you the look and feel of aluminum with the superior strength and lower cost of steel.
  • 409 Stainless Steel is a cost-effective, high-grade, low carbon steel with excellent corrosion resistance and strength. It sports a superior shine to aluminized steel, and only 304 stainless is more impervious to rust.
  • 304 Stainless Steel has the highest chromium and nickel content of any stainless alloy, making it the most corrosion-resistant material in the industry. 304 stainless is also capable of a mirror-like polished shine that bests chrome.

"Installation was annoying without a lift. Had to cut the stock exhaust off. Rest of install was easy. Minor detail was that one of the hangers tapped on the frame and had to be trimmed. Over all i am very happy with the purchase."

"I love this system so much. My truck def. kicks some butt now. I thought I was cursed with a quiet truck but after the install I was amazed at how it sounded. The system itself is just beautiful to look at. Cruising around town and opening up on the highway is alot more fun now. Before i bought this kit i was looking around all over the place(online) to see if anyone had this kit on a truck similar to mine to see if they liked it. Well i really didn't find anyone so i went out on a limb when i got it. The sound is awesome. Its not overpowering in the cab either. Accelerating from a standstill it is low and loud when the windows are down. On the highway when you open up it is just amazing and when you level off you can turn the radio off and you will hear just a low sweet hum."

MBRP Exhaust on my Colorado Xtreme

Posted on 06/25/2007 by Anthony M. (Escondido,CA)

"I really like the exhaust; the installation was fairly painless and only took about an hour. The sound is very nice; it rumbles and growls like there are more horses than there actually are!! No "Ricer" sound what-so-ever!! Only drawback is that the spare tire will NOT fit back into it's original location; I'm going to have to relocate or drive without a spare."

"The shipment arrived a day early, but the e-mail notification of the shipping had mixed up the products being sent. Not a problem. It appeared to be an easy install, but I had to do a lot of cutting and welding to make it work. It appears to have been made for the XL Tahoe or Suburban. It sounds great, not too loud. The police have not given me a second glance. But if I put my foot into it, it resonates in the passenger compartment and makes it almost painful. Once you let up, it stops resonating. I also installed the K&N FIPK. I have not had the time to calculate the power gains or fuel economy. The throttle response is very much greater."
