"Well, my first vehicle was a classic muscle car and I had really missed that nice rumble. The type of rumble where you could judge your speed from the sound/feel of the exhuast...these have fit the bill for that nostalgia on my '05 Ford F-150 STX. They look great and sound better. They have a nice rumble to them which is prominent inside the vehicle as well as outside the vehicle. Gives a similar feel/sound of the Mustang exhaust at idle. My wife mentioned that they were loud but she used to drive an Escort...so if you want noticeable sound...it is pretty strong at cruising speeds...these are great. My little boy loves them too...not overpowering but strong and throaty. I have received alot of compliments on the sound."

"nice sound pretty easy installation. but had trouble with the rear driver side mount, i couldnt get them level, but i went out the sides with it and everything sounds and looks great"

"id give the quality of the kit 5 stars but the instructions and clamps two. the american thunder exhaust sounds great on my 05 5.4 f150. it has a nice mellow tone, and is not abrasive in any way. installation wasn't too difficult once you throw away the instruction and the chintzy clamps they send with the kit. be prepared too us a welder! once you get all the pieces laid out it goes together fairly quick and sounds great."

Pretty darn good

"The install on these puppies was really simple. You do have to make a few adjustments to get them to fit correctly, but its not a big deal. I gained 2 mpg on my truck with these, and with as much as gas is, they'll pay themselves off by the end of year. The horsepower gains are noticeable, but the sound isn't. You can deffinately tell that they are flowmasters, but they sound more like a greddy from the cab. They arnt so loud as to annoy my neighbors, but they sound a hell of alot better than the stock system."

2003 Chevy Silverado 4.8L

"I recieved the exhaust in three business days. One of the pipes was slightly damaged in shipping but was easily fixed with a hammer. The install took about 3 1/2 hours with another person helping. I ran into some clearance issues. My aftermarket trailer hitch was in the way, so I had to cut some notches out of it with a torch. And because of the trailer hitch, my spare tire didn't fit exactly where it was sopposed to, but after the exhaust was installed, there was no way the spare was going back up under the truck, so now it is in the bed of the truck. I used the clamps supplied with the kit despite claims that they break easily. I had no problem. I tightened them with a 1/2 inch impact gun, and I had no breaks, and no exhaust leaks. I am a professional mechanic, and I can honestly say that the most difficult part of the install was adjusting everything after it was hung. The clearences between the shock and diffy are tight, so everything has to be absolutely perfect before you tighten things up. And when you start tightening the clamps, things move, so you have to constantly readjust. Keep in mind that I did this on an 03 Chevy Silverado 1/2 ton, extended cab. The install could be much different on another vehicle. But overall, after it's all said and done, I'm very happy with the system. It's not so loud that you'll irritate all your neighbors, but no so quiet that you'll be dissatisfied. It only really gets loud on accelleration. On the freeway, you can still hear it, but it won't give you a headache. I haven't actually attempted to measure a gas milage increase, but I have noticed that a tank of gas lasts a few days longer. I haven't observed a noticable horsepower increase. It's just louder. Overall, I'm happy with the system except for the fact that I have a spare tire taking up space in the bed of my truck."

"GREAT SYSTEM. ALL THE PARTS WERE THERE, IT FIT REALLY WELL, ALMOST PERFECTLY. SOUNDS GREAT WITH THE SERIES 50 AND REALLY HELPS MY LITTLE 4.7 SCOOT BUT WITH COLD AIR AND A SUPERCHIPS UPGRADE. MILEAGE JUMPED BETTER THAN 20% WITH THE NEW PARTS AND THE TRUCK REALLY PERFORMS BRISKLY! LOVE THE SYSTEM!"

"I have the Flowmaster Super 40 series side rear exhaust. They are so easy to assemble and mount to the vehicle.It definitely gave me more power and great sound. Well worth the upgrade to your Hemi. I will recommend to anyone."

"Instlation went smooth, but you really have to crank down the clamps. Sound gets a litle loud inside the cabwhen accelerating from 40 to 60 mph, but is ok when cruising."

"Great sound when I step on it. Is a little bit quieter than I had hoped for but that is ok, the neighbors wont be so mad. Good exhaust if you want to have the sound and power then you want it. Pretty quiet at cruising speeds."

"Shipping on this item was great was at my house in about three days. The hardest part was getting the old system off, I had to heat the bolts up glowing red and then impact them off. Other than that it was a breeze. Looks good and sounds great too. Would definitely recommend."

"You can really feel a difference with this exhaust easy bolt on just follow the instructions and a great sound. Remember you don't want a lot of sound I put a 3 inch flowtech on before this one and it killed my lowend and about made me deaf!! lol"
