What a difference!

"The hardest part was getting the OEM exhaust off. It took an air chisel to take the old muffler off. The Flowmaster went on much easier, and lined up pretty close with the old hangers and mounting hardware. The sound is awesome. I love the deep growl my truck has now. The increase in power was noticable from the minute I left the garage. I can take hills now with much more ease than before, and I'm sure that when I start towing my travel trailer this summer, I will not have any problems with them. The only downside I can think of is that I leave for work at 6am and the rumble of the truck might be waking a few people up now."

"I recieved it in a couple of days which was great. I had it installed by my mecanic and he said he liked the quality and the way it sounds so much, that he asked me for the web sight and said he was going to buy one for his truck."

"This is a quality system that sounds deep and throaty, like a real V-8. The downside is the system leaves a 40-inch section of 2.5-inch pipe from the converter to the new 3-inch muffler. A muffler shop, or you with the tools and welding skills, can splice in a 3-inch section from the converter to the new muffler/exhaust system. If you don't mind the minor restriction, it's a simple install with basic hand tools. A sawzall or cut-off wheel is handy."

"System goes on easily. The sound is a nice rumble without being "too loud", and has a good bark when you get on it. Seemed to pick up power in the low and mid range. Highly recommend this system."

flowmaster fit on ford with 6 cyl

"the fit and sound were remarkable the entire system took about 30 minutes to install. Though i would recomend getting the system welded after installation the clamps do loosen up quickly. Also the sound is awesome it isnt exactly close to a V8 rumble but it definately makes the 6 cyl sound beefier. And when combined with an air filter system my mpg did improve almost 6 mpg."

"Great sound. Very pleased with it. The stock muffler was a little hard to get off but once it was off the Flowmaster system went right on. The only problem I had was I broke a u-bolt but luckly I had another one laying around."

"My new Flowmaster Force II Exhaust system is really nice. It was all that minus the bag of chips. Only thing that upset me was it doesnt come with a Chrome or Polished stainless steel tip as shown in the photo or the discription. Other than that I am totally satisfied. Now my 97 Chevy Tahooe sounds the way a truck should sound. Its that low growl you want but not all the noise when cruising. If you want something louder go for the American Thunder!"

"The Force II system is a great upgrade for anyone seeking better fuel economy and power. The exhaust improved my mpgs by at least 2, and the power increase was obvious. The hardest part of installation was getting the old muffler off; which, for anyone with a 2001 dodge ram 5.9 I recommend just cutting the old one off completly. Use WD-40 to get the old hooks off. Otherwise installing the new flowmaster took me 30 mins or so tops."

"AFTER A 5 DAY FIGHT WITH FEDEX TO GET THE SYSTEM DELIVERED, I SET OUT TO GET IT INSTALLED AT A LOCAL TUFFY MUFFLER SHOP. EVERYTHING NEEDED FOR THE INSTALLATION WAS INCLUDED IN THE BOX. IT TOOK THE SHOP ABOUT 90 MINUTES TO INSTALL THE SYSTEM ON MY 2002 F-150 FORF KING RANCH SUPER CREW. THE SOUND IS I HAD HOPED TO ACHIEVE. THE STEREO IS READILY HEARD OVER THE LOW AGGRESSIVE SOUND PRODUCED AT 65 MPH. AT IDLE IT SOUNDS LIKE A DRILL SERGEANT READY TO ADDRESS HIS PLATOON. IT IS NOT OBNOXIOUS AND MY WIFE WANTS TO DRIVE THE "MANLY SOUNDING" KING RANCH CONSTENTLY. HAVEN'T HAD IT LONG ENOUGH TO CHECK GAS MILEAGE CONSISTLY BECAUSE OF THE COLD IDLE TEMPERATURES NEEDED IN THE CURRENT VIRGINIA WINTER. THE TAIL PIPES LINE UP BEAUIFUL AS THEY EXIT UNDER THE REAR BUMPER. I HAVE ALREADY OBSERVED MEN CHECKING THE DUAL EXHAUST PRODUCIBG FROM EACH TAIL PIPE. FLOWMASTER HAS A WINNER HERE. "A very easy to do upgrade that resulted in better sound, not too loud, and about 1.5 MPG increase. Also more power after installing the new system. Hardest part of the job was getting the old muffler out from under the truck once it was off."

"I've worked on many of my own vehicles in the past, replacing many exhaust systems. I recently installed my new Flowmaster Force II exhaust system on my truck and I must say this system, by far, was the easiest one I have EVER done. I had to make 2 cuts on the old system and simply clamped on the new one. Everything fit perfectly! I did not want a system that was too loud (unless I really get on it) and this setup is exactly what I wanted. The power increase was instantly obvious. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to perk up their vehicle and make it sound a little cooler! To really make this system perform...add a cold air intake system!"

"Easy to install did it my driveway used a 4" grinder to cut two slits in the old exhaust to remove it and lowered the spare tire and removed the old exhaust in one unit then installed new flowmaster exhaust time to do the whole project 2hours"

Fair rating

"The exhaust is ok. The biggest draw back is the tailpipe end doesn't look the picture at all. It would have been nice to be directed out the side like the picture. The exhaust that I got the tailpipe end is aimed down and stops a little too short underneath the truck so it is barely noticable when looking at the truck. A straight side exit is what I was looking for with a chrome tip like the picture shows, not what I got. Or even a straight side exit so that I could add a chrome tip. The fit and finish is good and it lined up with the trucks factory hangers which was good. Overall it's not bad but the tailpipe end bothers me enough that I am most likely going to spend more money so that I can replace it with something that looks like the picture. I give it two and half stars. Dave."
