"all said and done not worth the money. modifications required if you have a trailer hitch which is not noted anywhere on this site for the product. Gibson has a warning once you open the box. oops to late then. easier to install by dropping the skid plate then try and unbolt the connection to the converter above the skid plate. sounds ok but only because of the exhaust tip. loss of off idle torque, mid rpm torque and power gains noticable driving down road, good gains if you want to stay in the range of 4000 rpms all day if not forget just rolling on a little throttle and gaining 5mph on the freeway, you will be down shifting"

"The Gibson exhaust system was just what I needed to stand out. It gives just a different tone to the truck without making it to harsh. Havent drove enought to know if it helped with any mileage. Either way it looks sweet and went on almost too easy. Thanks again!"

"A little disappointed all the photos show a one piece unit, but comes in a box on MANY pieces. Went on with only one modification, one hanger had to be bent, but fits well other than that. Have driven the truck very little since exhaust went on as it is used for 5th wheel towing. So far very happy with sound quality. Can't wait to tow next week and see performance improvement."

"Though the system sounds great, installs easily, has easy to follow, clear & concise instructions, and looks "factory great", it has not done anything at all for my fuel milage and from the very last bend in the tailpipe to the tip end of the tailpipe, it angles down too much/hangs too low."

"The exhaust performs awesome!!! But, it was not near as easy to install as they claim. Make sure you have a "Saws-All" or cutting torch before you get started. Took a few hours to remove old one and install new one."

"I have an 06 chevy colorado reg. cab, and i recently installed this bad boy on my ride and Ive got to say its freakin awesome! I also have an airaid intake installed too so im basically tearing up the streets and all competition with this, installation was easy except the hardest part was taking off the stock exhaust, but all in all you can truly have a beast just like mine by buying this!"

Lost a little low end torque

"Overall I am happy with this exhaust but there are down sides. The instructions aren't very good, at least for the 05 Dodge Ram Hemi. It is a simple matter to take the existing exhaust off the truck without making a cut. The instructions tell you to cut. Another downside is the exhaust note. To me, it has a little bit of a "hole in the muffler" character to it. Maybe after it breaks in I will feel differently about the sound, if not the old muff's going back on. On the plus side, the exhaust is quiet but rumbly at idle; sounds very good. Another plus is when I step on it, the sound is really cool."

"I ordered the Gibson Stainless, single outlet system. Components are good quality, good welds. Fit pretty good, flanges lined up well. I used new gaskets just to make sure of no problems. Had to bend all mounting points to get fit as I wanted it and had to clock the muffler to about 2 o'clock to get the best fit. Other then that, no problems. Maybe because mine is a Nismo model. Sound is definitely louder, but not excessive. No resonance in the cab at cruise speeds, quiet then. Only small performance gain, little disappointing for that. I ran the truck at the 1/4 mile dragstrip before and after the install. Only a 1 mph gain, but 2 tenths in time. I also installed a Volant cold air intake at the same time, so I can't separate the gain from each. Truck lost a little from the very bottom end but midrange and top end feel stronger. Should be expected with the large pipes. I've been running it a month now, apperance holding up very well, diddn't hurt gas mileage, maybe 1 mpg better....and I check every tank. Overall I would recommend the Gibson system."

"There are other fine exaust systems on the market, however, Gibson is very well engineered, easy to install, high quality materials and production. But best of all, this exaust system has the most memorable sweetest rumble since those good old days"

"The old exhaust came out in one piece with the rear end up on jackstands. The Gibson easily bolts right in the old spot. Overall install was 1.5 hours, the longest part was getting the angles and spacing perfect on the dual angled split system. The sound is perfect all the time and it really comes to life with a lead foot. No annoying drone, especially at freeway cruising speeds like other systems. Definite HP and MPG increase, and when grouped with an intake it's even better. Mid-range power really increased leading to less down shifting and lower rpm's (200-250 when cruising).
Overall, best bang for you $$$. You won't be dissapointed!!!"

"The whole system fit like a glove. Took me about an 1.5 hours to install. The hard part was getting the old system off. This exhaust has a great sound, low rumble and not annoyingly loud. This sysyem is recomended for towing. The dual system is not. Be prepared to make one cut after the muffler. You can probably take the old exhaust off, in one piece, if you have access to an overhead lift. Coupled with a K&N cold air system, don't get the one with aluminum tubing because it retains engine heat and defeats the purpose, I increased my gas mpg by 2+. I also have purchased HyperTech system. Have not installed as yet because I want to get a baseline performance for towing, town, and highway. Then I can play around with the HyperTech tuning. I drive a 2007 Silverado Z71 Crew Cab with a 5.3 engine, auto, and 342 rearend. Talk to the people at AutoAnything, Shane ext.106, was a great help and they WILL beat any on the net.
Thanks......Dave"

"Beware..this is not a cat back system. its a muffler back system.unfortunatly the pipe from the muffer to the cat was rotted that was the point of me changing my exhaust.I had to have a muffler shop make the pipe up and install the system which cost me another $80.00
other than that.it looks nice"
