1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"Outstanding exhaust. Took longer to take off old exhaust than to install the Gibson! The fit was great, and Gibson's claims of improved torque are right on the money! I never would have believed that a cat-back could give a significant improvement in performance, but this one did. The sound is great, a nice bark but no resonance (just a nice rumble). If you want a wide-open roar from your exhaust, look elsewhere, but if you want a high-quality exhaust with a nice performance tone and better performance, get the Gibson!"

Gibson Roars Again

Posted on 11/13/2006 by Ronald Z. - 2006 Ford F150 (Lancaster,OH)

"This is the third Gibson system I have bought, and by far the easiest to install, did it myself in little over an hour. The other 2 needed a little tweaking, nothing major, but this one went right on and sounds fantastic. This is the only system you should buy and getting it from Auto Anything was also a great move and was the cheapest of the 10 or so on-line places I checked. Thanks again for the great service, price and anothe great exhaust system...Ron"

"Becareful and make sure that everything will clear your rear axle. or else you will have a crazy time trying to take it back out after snugging things down. I had to trim the backside 3 inches so the exhaust doesn't rattle or get jacked up when going over bumpy road. Measure first! A little on the loud side but the acceleration improved quite a bit."

2007 Tahoe LTZ

Posted on 10/27/2006 by John C. - 2007 Chevy Tahoe (Bedford,TX)

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"Good fit, sound is not radical. Performance slightly noticable. Mileage too early to tell but V4 mode seems to be more frequent at cruising speeds on the highway. I reversed the tailpipes (left to right etc) because I thought it gave a cleaner look. Autoride pump is not accounted for in installation or drvr side hanger, but fairly easy to over come. As other reviews have said cutting the old pipe in two is the hardest part if you dont have a power saws-all with a new blade. In cab sound is mellow at all speeds."

"i have a 2004 silverado x-cab 4.8l. the supertruck exhaust makes it a much better sounding truck. it wouldnt hurt to be a bit louder. its pretty quiet when the engine isn't working hard but when you hit the gas you can hear and feel it work. it was pretty simple to install but be careful. i snapped a factory bolt on the flange that connects the exhaust to the catalytic converter. i just had to drill it out and replace it. i definitely recommend it. its cheap in price but just as good as any other exhaust"

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"I installed this exhaust system in conjunction with a K&N FIPK and Araid throttle body spacer. I have experienced signigicant power increase. My four cylinder no longer hits passing gear while using cruise control just climbing moderate hills. Extremely easy install. I put the passenger side of my truck on jack stands. The old exhaust came out in one piece and the Gibson exhaust without trouble. Deep mellow tone and very quiet. Just what I was looking for."

"Exhaust tone sounds great! You hear a slight growl when accelerating, but it gets quiet at cruising speeds. It sounds better than the stock, but not too loud nor ricey. I could tell a difference in response when I give it some gas. Finally, I saw a 1.5 mpg increase."

Posted on 10/24/2006 by Harry M. - 2006 Ford F150 (Bridgeport,WV)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"The kit arrived quicker than expected. Removing the Ford exhaust is simple once you realize the forward pipe needs to be loosend and twisted (Ford has a nub keyway on the pipe). Old system came off with truck parked nose down on a slope. The Gibson went on very well. Their directions are well done. My only add is I felt the forward muffler to the Ford pipe needed another 'u' clamp which I picked up at the local autopart store (probably over-kill). Saw & felt immediate response improvement. Sound is sweet; 'real truck' sound. Won't wake up the neighbors; I'm delighted with the buy and install. I also added the K&N air intake and my BOFT (Big Ole Ford Truck)accelerates like a sports car - almost. At least I don't have the urge to check to see if I left the parking brake on when pulling out into traffic anymore! AutoAnything has the best price and delivery. PY"
