"I would have to say that this was by far the easiest install I have ever had on an exhaust system. The tone is much deeper than stock but not too loud. Seat of the pants performance test shows minor increases in acceleration."

"Let me start by saying thanks for being so prompt in getting the product shipped to me. The Gibson Dual Sport system looks great and was easy to install. I have a stretch of highway that I use to test changes in MPG. I saw 1.5 better. Only complaint is the exhaust system is a little louder inside the truck than I wanted. Thanks again.

"I was very impressed with the fit, everything mounted to factory locations perfectly and it really complemented the Nismo cold air intake. The hardest part was removing the stock system. The instructions need to include that the mid hanger must be unbolted from the chassis to get the stock system off, which was no problem. I installed everything, with the truck on the ground in less than 2 hours. It sounds great, not too loud.(about 25% louder than stock) The only problem I had was stopping the tail peace section from twisting, which was easily cured by adding muffler sealer and double clamping the joint."

"I switch my stock muffler to a flowmaster 50 series and didnt really like the cab drone along with the performance wasnt what I had hoped.
So I decided to go with the Gibson catback swept side exhaust.
I installed the new Gibson and every thing fit perfect, all the hangers that are welded to the gibson system were right on as if it had just been put together at a muffler shop.
It has a nice mellow sound that's very close to stock cab noise when cruzing. And when you get on it it has a nice bark and kick's the horse power up and it lets people know you have a performance exhaust system on your truck with a sound all it's own.
Gibson finish's of the exhaust with a cool looking 3inch chrome tip.
I would and have recomended this system to anyone wanting more HP, style and sound. It's a 10 in my book"

"Installation was a breeze. Instructions where easy to follow (had pictures). The sound is just right, sounds like my friends 350z. I have no way to measure HP increase, but there is a noticeable improvement in acceleration. My goal was to improve MPG, which have seen a 1-2 mpg improvement. Can’t say enough about AutoAnything's custom support, every time I’ve called I’ve got someone on the phone very quickly."

"I purchased my Gibson Exhaust for my '02 Silverado 1500 V^, after reading many reviews on this site. Purchase and Shipping were excellent. Good Price. Paid $100 for installation at a local Speed Shop. Nice sound, good HP gain. Overall is a little louder than I wanted, but sounds pretty cool anyway. I do a lot of highway driving but have not checked for MPG gain or loss, but hope to see some improvement. RPM's very low cruising at 80 mph. ;O) Also installed a K&N intake kit."

"First, installing the exhaust proved more difficult than expected. The nontamper bolts on the cat both broke off. I went through 3 bits drilling out the bolts on one side. The new bolts included in the kit were much bigger than on the cat and required 3/8" holes to be drilled.
Second, The heads of the bolts they provided were too small! They could slip through the flange holes of the muffler! The washers were too thin and would deform because of the size problem.
The sound quality is rather subdued, which is good for me. Just a little louder than stock with that deep resonance especially if you drive next to a wall.
Otherwise, the quality was good. The location of the hangers were nearly right on. If you're not comfortable drilling out bolts in metal, have this professionally installed."

"Easy install took about an hour on a lift. Great quality and OEM-like fit. Sound is good but a little quieter than I had hoped for...very understated low growl. Still I would give it a thumbs up unless you want a louder, more obnoxious, turn your head sound."

Great Sound WITH a Cold Air Intake

"Installed on my Tacoma V6 4.0L. Got my order in 2 days. Took less than a hour to install. Did not notice a fuel economy improvment, but the engine reacts better. It is a little louder high tone (I was not sure if I liked the tone). So I also installed the AFE cold air intake. Installing a cold air intake changed the sound MUCH better with a deeper tone now I am satisfied. Very well made exhaust."

"1-universal muffler,hangs too low!
2-rear bracket does not line up with hanger- 90 degrees off, had to pay muffler shop to fix!
3-three weeks and "stainless" tip is turning gold!
Sounds good but not worth $250.00"

"Came with everything needed to bolt it on including the gasket, and tip. I had a midas lifetime muffler on my blazer before the gibson, and it rusted through after 2 years, so the bolts came off easily and I had no problem taking the old one off. I had this on in about an hour in my drive way, with no problems. Usually nothing is as easy as it looks, but this was. However, the gibson isn't as loud as I thought it would be, but, after driving with it on for awhile, I am glad it isn't louder. It does have a nice sound, as far as power, I really don't know, but since my old one had a hole in it, it gave alot of power back to me which I had lost. Hopefully it lasts for years to come."
