Unfair Advantage 08' Taco

"The reason I say unfair advantage I had a little help with the installation. Although it was done on my garage floor with a floor jack and a couple of jack stands some basic mechanics tools an air ratchet (a must) total time to remove existing exhaust in one piece (no cutting)and install the Gibson single cat back exhaust 35 minutes. The unfair part is my buddy is a Toyota Mechanic and owes me many favors so I cut him loose under my truck.This is my 3rd single cat back exhaust all Gibsons all on different trucks the first 2 I did myself in about an hour turn around time although I wasn't trying to save the old exhaust a sawzall makes it alot easier.There is definite power and throttle response right from the get go and that gibson rummble, not to loud but noticeable and will increase slightly as it gets broke in.Next up I have an AFE intake hopefully comming in this week to top it off, I can let you all know about power and milage increases after I run that set up for awhile. I shop all over the internet for stuff for my truck and so far Auto Anything has what I want when I want it and the best prices, gotta love that free shipping too. Thanks AA"

"I got the aluminized single side model for my 08' Tahoe. I specifically chose this model because I didn't want it to be too loud (the wife would be angry new truck and all). I had my brother-in-law throw it under there and it literally took him 30 mins. Most of the time was just cutting out the old one in his driveway. This thing sounds great! Nice little grunt when you start the truck and then purrrrrrs down the road at low RPM. When I stomp on it is when the fun begins. Good buy, got some grumble in my 5.3 Vortec now."

"I recently purchased a Gibson performance exhuast for my 05 dodge dakota. I had no idea how to install the kit so i had help from my dad and a very easy installation guide. the hardest part was removing the stock exhaust. once that is off the new kit is very easy to install on your own. I love the new sound the kit provides I highly recommend this product for all vehicles."

"A fair price for a great product. A little research unveiled that a larger competitor was using cheaper steel in their product and was approx. $300 more. This is my first aftermarket exhaust so time will tell. I have experienced increased horsepower, better gas mileage, and a great growl. I only wish I bought the dual exhaust! Thanks, Dante"

"Was disapointed that the stainles finish wasnt polished.looks like crap, Doesnt look anything like the picture.Save 100 bucks and get galvinized with polished tips.left hanger is a little shaddy but works.Instalation was fairly easy.You should go back the next day and make sure everything is tight.Sounds really good in and out of the cab.awsome look from the rear.AutoAnything.com is the best place to shop."

"Exhaust looks and sounds great. It has a good low sound at idle, I did not want a real loud exhaust. Only trouble with installation was maintaining clearance after attaching to cat. A little work but it went on pretty smooth otherwise."

"The straight part of the pipe going into the outlet of the exhaust was 3 inches too short. A piece had to be fabricated in order for it to fit. My mechanic had already cut the old one off or I would have returned it. Once installed, I am please with the system. Better quality control is needed."

"The Gibson cat-back system was relatively easy to install, as long as you rotate the outlet of the muffler to the eight-o-clock position. This is especially important if you want the outlet to clear the tow hitch. Once installed, the engine revs more freely, and you shed some weight."

"I installed the Gibson Dual Sport on my 2002 Dodge Dakota mainly to give my truck some personality. I chose this style to be a little different from the conventional dual tailpipe systems. I think it gives my truck some character and the growl lets everyone know "I have a V8". Everything I read about the ease of installation and the custom fit was right on it. It will be awhile until I can tell if the freeflow design helps gas mileage, but the increase torque and horsepower are noticable from the get go, and I do mean "get go"."

"The Gibson cat back system I bought for my 2000 S10 four cylinder gives a nice smooth mellow sound, not like some systems with a loud "fart can" on the back end. The installation took about an hour with simple hand tools. It increased my gas mileage by about 10%. The price was the most reasonable on the market also. I highly recommend it!"

"The install was easy with a little ajusting of the hangers. I was surprised that it didn;t come with new gaskets.I used the old ones and no leaks.The power was noticed right away but i haven't had it long enough to see about the mpg yet. I made a good move on choosing this exhaust.The sound is just right and not to loud if you go easy on it."

"Great deep melow tone, and is very quiet inside the cab. Installation wasn't hard at all. Took two of us around 2hours to install for mainly for the exhaust pipe was to close to the spare tire and had to make adjustments to keep the pipe away from the spare tire."
