"Only problem is you loose the spare tire. Wish they would have mentioned it on this site in the notes."

"Despite the unit being mounted on the existing hangers, the hear from the tail pipe caused teh spare tire to catch fire. You are now addressing the situation with Gibson."

"It was my first time for an install so it took me a little while longer than it should have (3 hours)but if I had paid more attention to what I was doing it wouldn't have taken as long, half the time. It looks excellent and it is a lower rumble than the Flowmaster that was on before. I really like it."

"I have waited a couple of years to buy this exhaust. The OEM exhaust was on it's way out so why not? Installation was fairly easy, a couple things that could of helped. The directions said that the drivers side tail pipe goes between the tire and the shock (this can't happen) it should read spare tire and shock! You will be hard pressed to get 1" clearance from shocks. Over all very happy with it, the sound is deep with good base sound."

"First off to take off the old exhaust system, the instructions given recommends that you have a hacksaw to remove it. Don't buy a hacksaw or use one if you have one. Go with a grinder, it will make life easier trust me. Once the exhaust was cut in the appropriate spots to remove it, it was easy sailing from there. It's true what everyone says, "installing the new exhaust is much easier than removing the stock system.
After the exhaust system was installed, made my truck sound less of a pussy and more like a mean machine. Has a great mellow sound at ignition and best sounds are around 2,000-3,500 RPM. At highways speeds (avg. 65mph) it is not too loud. Just enough sound to make people know you don't have some stock system. Definite noticable power. Can overtake on highways with ease. This system is great, i would recommend it to anyone with a Sport Trac."

"Installation was a piece of cake. Sound is just a little louder the stock but it did deepen up the tone. It is my wife's Tahoe and she did not want a very loud exhaust. This meets the bill exactly."

"First off my oem muffler heat sheild cracked like 3 times on me and was tired of getting it tacked back down my the local muffler shop.. I was intrested in the gibson thinking it was going to be as quiet as the oem.. which it is once the truck is in od. but as i as gaining speed it is a little louder than i would want.. but it is manageble..just turn the radio up a little bit louder.. :)
i like the look.. but i have a 1 lower afterstock spring on the back which i think is a problem.. the tips of the muffler are rubbing... so i need to bend the pipes downward a little bit.. which i am looking at try to get done.. other than that.. they are nice...
one suggestion... make sure u have a saz-all to get the oem muffer out... there is not other way to get it out without cutting it.."
