Exhaust tone is pleasant with only slight growl. More noticeable when heavier throttle."

"It took 2 guys about 45 minutes to remove existing exhaust on 2009 Titan 4x4 LE and install the Banks. They are friends of mine who own a brake, shock and muffler shop. We did it off a lift and they were apprehensive about installing it because they said that most bolt on aftermarket exhaust are not out of the box bolt on. The Banks was truly that. They were impressed. They also had lots to say about the 5” tip. All they kept saying is they can’t wait to start it up to hear it as they were installing it. The only thing we changed was how the heat blanket is attached. It came with some strong twist ties so we used a strap and crimping tool. The exhaust I bought was the Banks side exhaust, not the dual"

"I'm 61 years old,and had no place to install the exhaust system. We are snow-birds, had it done at a local garage. They charged me 1 hour labor. We took a 80 mile trip increased fuel millage by 3 MPG. I wasn't looking for a turn head loud exhaust system. This system is mellow, and when you get on it it sounds beefy. I also installed a Banks ram air system prior to the exhaust, whichI installed myself. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!"

"If you are looking for a nice tone that isn't over the top, this Banks cat back is perfect. I have noticed a small increase in throttle response and power. Not a huge difference, but it is there. I'm also getting 1-2 mpg better gas mileage so far. I'm sure this will all improve as I replace stock components up to the headers and the intake down the road.
Worst part was getting the old one out. If your truck is a few years old don't waste your time trying to get it out in one piece, do yourself a favor and grab a sawzall. After the old one was out, installation was very easy."

"The installation was quite simple. I have installed other "bolt-on" exhausts but not a single one ever fit exactly right. I commend Banks for an outstanding job with ease of installation. The sound is deep and throaty. I felt the added HP immediately. I love the exhaust!
One thing though...(not Banks fault)...make sure purchase new bolts for the connection to the CAT. Mine were so rusted on I had to cut/drill them out. A few winters of salty roads will do that."

"I tackled this project on Labor day weekend and it took me more than 8 hours to get the old exhaust out of the engine compartment. The problem is that Ford wrapped the exhaust in aluminum clad insulation on the downpipe which made it to large to get through any hole. I ended up using a saws-all to cut the pipe into 4 pieces to get it out of the truck. Once the old exhaust was out, the new exhaust was fully installed in less than 2 hours. Looks are about the only benefit that I have from it. The sound is about the same as the truck sounded before but now the turbo can be heard very clearly. I now understand the insulation that Ford put on the downpipe...not for heat insulation but for sound from the turbo. Overall, it is still beautiful and adds exactly the right look. And you need a second person when you put the new downpipe in so that you can have someone hold it in place while you put the V clamp back in place."

"The monster exhaust kit is perfect if you want a high quality product with a professional sound. The system is very easy to install and there is a marked increase in power at higher RPM. I would reccommed this product to a friend. The sound on the vehicle matches exactly to the video sound for the Ford 5.4L on the banks website."

"Put the Banks Monster Exhaust cat back system on my jeep. This a quality piece of equipment. The exhaust noise increased somewhat but is not annoying. I got used to the louder exhaust tone quickly. Gained approx. 1.2 mpg. Power seems to be up some also. Of the upgrades that if have done to my jeep, I am most satisfied with this. I'll be taking a cold air intake by another company off and putting Banks system on shortly. Thanks Banks and thanks Autoanything."

"Installed the exhaust at the same time as the Banks air kit (no scoop). Install was relatively easy with good instructions. Sounds good and the engine seems stronger. Even with "agressive" driving, average fuel economy has been 16.5 MPG over the last year, first fillup after the install was 18 MPG.

"Very impressed with the quality of the Banks exhaust system, very well built and thought out... Put it this way, its the loudest 4.8L V8 in the area, definately a head turner... A little loud in the cab around lower rpm's, especially on the freeway. Overall a decent, affordable product. If you want a loud, legal exhaust, buy Banks!"

"The banks cat back system is a big help on the 4.o with larger tires, soft rumble sounds good not to loud without load on it, you can notice the differance in 6th gear pulling small hills on hwy no need to down shift to 5th.
small increase in milage approx 1/2 mile to 1 mile per gallon wich is good for the jeep at 15 mPG. Great purchase took 1 hr to put on cut off old exsaust. and it bolted right up.
Thanx Banks"

"While I've installed exhaust systems before, I elected to have a shop install this system. (lack of time)
The system went on easily (I watched) with no problems. The fit was perfect. Combined with the Banks Ram Air Intake System which I installed myself the same weekend I've noticed a quicker turbo spool up and a 100-200 degree drop in EGT while pulling a 6000 lb. trailer in the mountains. All good.
I don't have enough miles on it to accurately determine MPG benefits yet but it seems a bit better. Time will tell as I accumulate more miles on the system."

"Excellent workmanship and quality. Banks' QA is top notch from the product itself to the way it is packed for shipping. Product is easy to install. Removing the stock exhaust is another story. System looks great on the truck. Sound and tone is noticably different. Significantly louder with a distinct rumble but its not too much. Notice it mostly at the 2K RPM mark. In terms of performance gain, no hard numbers and too early to tell but I do notice a better overall throttle response. Mileage gains will be nominal if any. Overall, the increased engine response and the look make the system a worthwhile purchase with or without any mileage or real horsepower gains. Banks products are clearly among the very best."

Installation is too easy. I did it in my driveway without even jacking up the truck. I have had so many positive comments on the sound and the appearance. I alos installed the Banks Intake. Great combo and also a snap to install."
