Give your exhaust system a serious attitude adjustment with the Slash Exhaust Tip by Gibson. Sliced diagonal and polished to a mirror finish, this tough tip adds excitement and personality to lifeless stock tailpipes.
Gear heads the world over know that Gibson understands what it takes to build a truly great exhaust system. They take pride in their workmanship, and you can clearly see it in the Slash Exhaust Tip. It's wrought from premium blocks of aircraft-grade T-304 stainless steel. Unlike chrome imitators, stainless doesn't chip, flake or rust. It just keeps on gleaming like the day you pulled it out of the box.
You don't have to be a certified welder to install the Slash Exhaust Tip. Thanks to Gibson's groundbreaking "Clampless" mounting system, a wrench and a couple of minutes are all it takes to transform your tailpipe.
Best of all, Gibson backs your Slash Exhaust Tip with a Lifetime Warranty.

This piece of equipment was just as advertised. Perfect fit and an excellent finish. Being that my super duty XLT is black, every bit of highly polished chrome enhances it's appearance. With chrome bumpers, grille, wheels and step bar, it adds a nice touch.

Look great but the clamp bolts show when you stand 10 ft. away from vehicle ( dual side mount exhausts ) Have just ordered 2- 18" Gibson tips to solve seeing the clamps. Will use the 8" ones in the winter and the 18" during the summer. Delivery was ahead of promised date. Look great on my truck which I take a lot of pride in as does GIBSON because they stamp their name on them, as on their stainless headers.

Hey will this tip change the sound of my Explorer at all? Im looking to make the exhaust sound louder. Thanks
Answered by Michael K. — Apr 23, 2012 12:15 PM
Hi John, the exhaust tip will not change the sound of your Explorer, it's basically a way to add style. For a louder exhaust, you need to install a performance muffler, or for a major boost in sound and power, go for a cat-back exhaust system.

I am currently looking for a tip and was curious about what would be the correct size to get? Would anyone know the correct size of a stock exhaust of a 1998 runner sr5?
Answered by Michael K. — Feb 13, 2012 11:59 AM
Hi Robert, just measure the outside diameter of your tailpipe and match that size to the inlet diameter of the tip you want.

Hi can you please tell me if this part fits 07 Escalade
Answered by Michael K. — Feb 03, 2012 3:46 PM
Hi LB, these exhaust tips are universal, so one should fit your Escalade. Simply measure the diameter of your exhaust pipe, and match that size to the inlet size of the tip you want.

It looks more like a blingy bling chrome finish. I want a nice stainless finish. What is the finish of this tip?
Answered by Jordan C. — Nov 02, 2010 12:37 PM
Hey Shaun, You're in luck. These tips do not have a chrome finish. They're made from T304 stainless steel and polished to a brilliant mirror finish.
