Good performance - not so good installation & fit

"Definite power increase and quieter than the stock cat-back with a Flowmaster muffler I had before. This system doesn't have the flow-choking crimp that the stock cat-back has either which really opens things up. I opted to install it myself - I'm mechnically-inclined having done this and more difficult things on other cars, but this one got the best of me. After spending several hours and losing a little blood trying to install it without a hydraulic lift, I got it mounted but it was hanging low, leaking, and nothing like the stock fit. I ended up taking it to a muffler shop to mount it more solidly (i.e. without clamps and connectors). That was the best $40 I've ever spent - wish I would've done that to being with. Even with nice solid welds it *still* rattles, shakes, and rolls - nothing like the stock fit. Still a worthy sacrifice to get more power."

"Sounds good. Not too loud. Look excellent. Installation was simple and quality is excellent. No so sure the performance gain is noticeable. Added system after adding K&N air charger and Hypertech III. With all three mods, maybe 1 mpg increase. Definite horsepower gain above 5000 rpm."

"The system was installed in under 1 hr by my son and myself. The hardest part of the process was removing the hangar attachments after the vehicle had cooled. The improvement in sound and performance was very apparent. Highl marks for a very quality system."

"This is a nice quality exhaust system that can easily be installed in 1-2 hours. The majority of the installation was trying to get the tips to line up evenly. Also if you have a trailer hitch installed you will need to fabricated a bracket to attach the hanger bolts for the tailpipes or drill a hole in the frame since the hitch uses the exhaust hanger hole in the frame. Other than that this is a good system."

"This exhaust sounds great on my 1997 ford expedition. The price was resonable and the look of the chrome tip, and overall sound is very good. I really don't see any change in horsepower, not that I ran a dyn on it before and after, but I would recommended this exhaust to any suv owner who wants good sound and a life time warrenty on a system."

"I couldn't be happier with my exhaust. The tone is just a little louder and deeper than stock. Not the run of the mill rice rocket exhaust. Great gains all across RPM's. Thankyou Magnaflow!"

"Receieved the system in the usual fast AutoAnything fashion. Once I figured out how to remove the stock exhaust, it took about a hour from start to finish. I used very small screw drivers (like for glasses) to pry the rubber hangers up and force them over the barbed ended hanger rods. The fit of the system would have been great if my truck didn't have a rear stabilizer bar (TRD Sport Package). The vertical piece of the stabilizer interfered with the placement. I had to move the tailpipe over about an inch and only used one of the two hanhers rods (if you got this truck it makes sense). The sound is perfect, the single side exit isn't too loud, but coupled with the K&N Air Charger, they know when I punch it."

"I ordered the Magnaflow exhaust strictly for what it could give me in terms of fuel economy. My Durango was getting approximately 17 MPGs before installation, I am now getting 20+ MPGs! The noise level went up a little in the cab, but it isn't too intrusive. Power increased noticeably after installation."

"Quick and easy to assemble. Very nice look. And gives my 06 Colorado a nice growl. Small but noticeable increase in power and a 5% average increase in mileage over 4 tanks of gas. Stock exhaust looked tricky to remove but a sawzall took care of it in less than 10 minutes. Installation of new exhaust took aproximately the same amount of time as removing the old. Overall very pleased with my new cat-back."

"This is the second magnaflow system I have bought. I've had this magnaflow system on my 2002 Ford SVT Focus for about a week and I couldn't be happier. Good power gains with a nice deep exhaust note, not too loud but people will know you have a performance system. A local mufler shop installed the system on my car for $100.00 and while they were installing it, they kept on making comments about what a great, clean, quality system it was. I'm absolutley sold on Magnaflow systems. I won't buy any other brand of Cat-Back system. Now I have to see if they make one for my Nissan Titan."

"Good quality product, made in the USA..!A bit louder than I would have liked for freeway speeds in the cab, though.Sounds great at lower RPM's.Turns out you have to pull the swaybar for the '05 Expedition, the instructions did not state this..ended up cutting and welding the midsection pipe, still runs, sounds good."

"Very nice system, goes nice with the newly installed cold air Intake. really feel the differance in my 2005 Dodge Ram 4.7 liter engine. Also it was very easy to Install being it only has 5k on it, old system was easy to come off so that helped took about an hour. Only had one problem read the directions disconected the neg on battery Installed the system checked everything out reconected the neg took for a ride few miles down the check engine light came on. disconected the neg to try to clear code went for a ride light came on again.had to go to the dealer had them hook up to obdII code came up need to replace EGR valve. Dealer did'nt have the part have to go back next week to have part installed.don'nt know if Installing cat-back had anything to do with this just yet hope not hope it was just coinsedence any way still gave the system five stars like it a lot. hopefully problem will corrected.
