Had the Magnaflow installed a week ago. So far, it feels good and sounds great. The sound is a nice low rumble when you step on it, but there is no annoying drone while cruising. I did not want the gurgling hot rod sound, just a throaty sports car sound. Magnaflow shipped very fast, just a few days. Auotanything is always great too, price, service and Live Chat was excellent.

Exhaust went on easy and fit purfect took about an hour to remove the old one and replace. The only problem I had which was my fault was when trying to adjust the pipes the joint between the first pipe and muffler slide apart some and when I tightened it up the exhaust was leaking. I had to loosen the exhaust and readjust it. Exhaust has a slight rumble but not to loud. Not sure if there is any preformance improvement. I bought this to replace the OEM exhaust that was rusting out.

I bought this for my 2006 Mitsubishi eclipse and I must say it was worth the money. It sounds better looks better, was very easy to put together and install. I would definitely recommend anyone who has a sporty car to buy a magnaflow muffler system.

Had this system installed on my 2013 Ram RT, 5.7 hemi and couldn't be happier. My stock truck looks amazing, but sounded like a Celica. Not anymore.... The sound at idle is low and mellow, not anyway loud or obnoxious. Under throttle it is magical... aggressive, deep, and very high-end sports car sounding with no drone. Paired with an K&N filter, mine even shifts smoother now. Make sure you disconnect the battery.... computer must re-set to get full potential.

Had the exhaust installed by a shop for $160 since I don't have access to a lift. I like the way it looks sticking slightly out of the rear end and the sound is nice especially with my rev matching during downshifts and during acceleration. Great value.

The new magma flow exhaust has given my truck a lot more bark n rumble. There is no drone sound like a lot of others cause. Installation was a lot easier than removing my previous exhaust. Added both the exhaust and volant cold air intake and I have noticeable difference in power and reaction.

Am wrapping up my 1955 Chev Belair project and am debating Flowmaster 50 delta force versus Magna flows. I've got Flowmaster 40's on my 1970 Mach I and it is very mean/loud. My '55 is going to be a driver and my wife doesn't like the Mach I as it's too loud! Hah! Anybody compared Magna flows to Flowmaster 50 delta force mufflers as far as resonance and inside noise levels? I've wrapped my '55 with dynapack insulation, so I trust that will keep the noise levels down inside the car. Jim B. Minnesota
Answered by Nathan S. — May 08, 2013 9:53 AM
Hi Jim, The Magnaflow system sounds like the best choice for noise control vs. a 50 series Flowmaster kit. Just make sure the Magnaflow kit exits under the rear bumper or you'll never hear the end of it from your spouse.

Answered by Nathan S. — May 06, 2013 8:42 AM
We honor our low price guarantee from the time of purchase through the first year of ownership of the product. If you find a better price within that period, give us a call and we'll refund the difference. Keep in mind the lower price needs to be verified as being offered by a store and not an auction site.

Answered by Nathan S. — Mar 07, 2013 2:37 PM
Hi, Unfortunately it won't fit Ford trucks within that year range. You could always get a set of Magnaflow mufflers and have your local muffler shop bend the pipes.

Is there a sound clip anywhere for the magnaflow cat-back for a 2011 Explorer Limited? It would help in the decision making process as I don't want LOUD, just performance. Want something that doesn't resonate a lot of noise inside vehicle.
Answered by Nathan S. — Nov 12, 2012 9:33 AM
Hi, Sound clips don't give an indication of how loud a system is. It's mainly to hear the tone of the exhaust. Having a system that is "too loud" is in the ear of the beholder, but the Magnaflow kits add performance without being annoyingly loud.

Hello, You are looking at around 8-10 horsepower over your factory exhaust whether you go with Magnaflow, Flowmaster, etc. A .5-1 Hp difference is not going to be noticeable, so pick the one with the tone and features that appeal to you.

Answered by Elizabeth C. — Aug 03, 2012 1:42 PM
Hello. I recommend the Magnaflow for a low rumble and better sound under acceleration without too much noise. Unfortunately, the only way to hear what it would sound like would be to hear it in person or bring it up on YouTube. To do the latter, look up Magnaflow 2005 Mini Cooper R50. Thank you for your question.

I have a 2008 gmc Yukon xl 5.3L V8 and currently have a corsa touring exhaust. I currently get a bad drone when the truck hits 2300 RPM and under acceleration. Not happy with it. I am considering the magmaflow and want to make sure this will not happen again. Does This happen with magmaflow? Thanks for any info you can provide
Answered by Nathan S. — Jul 27, 2012 11:44 AM
The drone that you describe can happen due to the design of the mufflers or the tubing so it can be difficult to tell which systems will cause a drone at a given rpm as each vehicle application has different tubing bends. From my experience with customers, Magnaflow kits have a good performance tone with very little if any drone. They will however, be louder than the Corsa exhaust at idle.

Answered by Nathan S. — Jul 18, 2012 11:58 AM
We are still waiting for a manufacturer to offer a performance exhaust kit for the AWD MKZ. There is a difference in fitment between the 2WD and AWD models. A lack of fitment options could be due to the center differential and driveshaft being in the way.

I have an Audi TT 3.21 and want to know if this exhaust would be a good choice. I want something that adds good sound appeal on the road.
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jul 13, 2012 2:48 PM
Hello. First, is your Audi TT 3.2l a Quattro? If so, the Magnaflow Cat-Back Performance Exhaust gives you two options: sport and touring. The set-up is nearly the same between the two, but due to a higher flow muffler, the sport system makes a more aggressive. However, this item will not fit non-Quattro TTs, and unfortunately I do not have an exhaust that would. Thank you for your question, and hope that helps!

is the exhaust itself street legal? because i had a flowtech exhaust and got pulled over for it being to loud, and it said it was 100% street legal, but this could be due to it being discontinued for that reason.
Answered by Nathan S. — Jun 20, 2012 7:52 AM 2004 Mazda 3
Local law enforcement tends to be the judge of what is too loud for your area even if a part is street legal. Check your local statutes for allowed decibel levels and offer to have your local law enforcement check the volume with a meter. Nothing will be as quiet as your stock exhaust system and the Magnaflow Exhaust System will be a bit louder.

no, it installs about 8 inches after the cat. The stock exhaust has to be cut, then magnaflow is slid over stock pipe and is banded on.

Will the computer need to be reset after installing this system on a 2011 ranger?
Answered by Nathan S. — Jun 20, 2012 8:00 AM 2004 Mazda 3
The engine control module in your Ranger uses a system called "adaptive strategy" to gradually learn the most efficient way to operate the engine over time and mileage. When you install an aftermarket component such as an exhaust system the airflow characteristics of both the intake and exhaust side of the engine change, causing the engine sensors to provide readings that will be ok, but will be different than what the computer is used to. Your truck usually will run and sound differently at first but will run great within 30 minutes of driving and will continue to get better within the first month of installing the kit.
flagAnswered by Anonymous — Jun 16, 2012 10:58 AM 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo
More than likely not. Unless you are a power hungry HP junkie and want to squeeze every ounce of HP out of your engine with an engine tune, It will be just fine without messing with your ECU. I have one installed on my 05 silverado HD and works perfectly. Strongly recommended to buy system, it sounds awesome!

I had one installed on an 06 cobalt 2.2l v4 and it made it sound amazing as well gave it a noticeable hp gain. I suggest getting a cold air intake to give it a deeper growl and an even better hp gain. you wont regret it.

Turbo diesels love free flowing exhaust systems. Turbochargers will spool up faster as the exhaust will have an easier path out of the turbocharger. They are also good at prolonging turbocharger life by reducing exhaust gas temperatures.

Answered by Nathan S. — Apr 20, 2012 2:24 PM 1998 Honda Accord
Expect a throaty performance note from the Magnaflow kit which will be louder than your factory exhaust system. On a 5.4L V8, these kits have low interior resonance a modest volume that is far from offensive. A side exit system tends to be a bit louder though.

These kits install after you catalytic converters, so no replacement is needed. Be careful when matching headers to a cat-back exhaust system as headers can vary in length and style.

Answered by Eric H. — Oct 22, 2010 6:04 AM 2002 Chevy S10 Pickup
Stainless steel does not rust or pit, thats why it is usually more expensive but well worth it for what you get and it lasts much longer than aluminized systems. My dad has a stainless exhaust on his truck and it looks almost the same as when he bought it, other than some dirt.
flagAnswered by Nathan S. — Apr 20, 2012 2:13 PM 2003 Ford Mustang
Actually, not all stainless steel is created equal. Magnaflow kits are constructed of 409 stainless which can rust over time. It sounds like a 304 stainless kit might be a better choice for corrosion resistance. Please check with one of our phone or chat agents as we may be able to find a kit to suit your needs.
