Added good power after a custom tune from C&L performance here in Alabama. Look really good under the hood as well. Make no mistake, these headers make the car awesomely loud! My friend is a Ford tech and helped me put them on. He said it was the loudest mustang he's ever heard. I stay off the throttle through tight neighborhoods and open it up when I get on the highway. It'll put an instant smile on your face!!!

Awesome headers, the fit isn't bad but the ypipe hits my car when I get on it going into first gear so I have to get that fixed.. Also the wiring for the fitings was no where near long enough so I had to get separate wiring harness.

The BBK Long Tube Headers & High Flow Cats installed on my 2013 Camaro SS perfectly. Installation was just as described in the directions and came with all items needed for the install. Fit and clearances are very good. The High Flow Cats bolted right up to my existing exhaust system. I had previously installed a Borla S type axle back system and the sound is fantastic. Performance is good. I am very happy with the BBK Headers and AutoAnything's service. Would buy again and recommend to others.

With the addition of these shorty headers, my 2001 Bullitt is now complete. The Flowmasters sound even better, my low-end torque is much improved, as is throttle response, and the whole neighborhood knows when my stang is out of the barn. The quality is top-notch, the fit is perfect, and they look great. Installation takes patience and a plethora of tools, but is well worth the amazing results.

Truck runs smoother with better throttle responce. Got a little extra rumble but not real noticable. Added the stage 2 Jet chip at same time as header install but dont see a noticable difference in fuel mileage. The instuctions said to install lower 2 bolts prior to placing the header in place, I would recomend the bottom 3 unless you have very small hands. Bolt holes on the exhaust flanges needed to be opened up a bit also to go over new studs on the headers. Overall very pleased with the BBK'S

I'm not sure I understand CARB exempt, can anyone explain?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jul 06, 2012 12:29 PM
CARB is a vehicle-emissions standard set forth by the state of California. So, aftermarket parts that are not registered as CARB exempt violate emission control system anti-tampering laws, and may not be legal for highway use in certain states. Check here for details and a list of states that follow the CARB standard.

What exactly does the silver ceramic coating on these headers do?
Answered by Nathan S. — Jul 09, 2012 7:39 AM 2010 Dodge Challenger
A ceramic coating serves many purposes. The coating reduces radiant heat in the engine compartment, allowing colder air to enter the intake. The inside of the headers are also coated which serves three purposes. The insulation prevents tube cracking and creates a smooth surface to boost exhaust flow. Also, the exhaust heat cannot expand into the header tubes so it can only expand out of the header, further boosting exhaust flow.

Do these headers bolt up and have a place for the factory 02 censor? Is there any welding required?
