I love the sound of the MBRP cat back on my 2000 Tahoe with the 5.3L. I did have some install problems with one of the exhaust hangers being welded 6" off. Not a big deal for me as I just cut it off and rewelded it on in the correct place. I also had a problem with the factory y-pipe flange studs as they are pressed into the flange and given the age of my truck they did NOT want to come out. I had to cut them and weld on new studs which is easier said than done working under the vehicle.

Sounds great and super easy install. Took about 40 minutes from start to finish. A single pipe is all you really need with the 5.3, dual doesn't get you much more for your dollar. I also put a 3" cat back MBRP system on my 2007 Silverado and love it. You seem to get the most out of this system if you also Superchip your Chevy. To me, they go hand in hand but it's your buck.
