You definitely need to be a moderate handyman. Must have at least an extra hand and pretty good tools. A lift helps a ton but ramps or jack stands are ok. Don't underestimate time, you need to have a few hours to do the work.

Flowmaster has always made great sounding exhaust. I had to remove an aftermarket hitch because the side brackets were too low and my son wanted the exhaust out the side. I found a factory hitch that fit with no problems. Other than that, which wasn't Flowmaster's fault, the exhaust install was very straight forward. We are very happy with the look and sound.

Glad i went with the 40 series version instead of the 50. Still not as loud as i thought it would be. Was boxed up well. Instalation was the worst part. Didn't exactly line up with the factory hangers perfect and had to put small hose clamps to keep the rubber hanger on the metal arm. No major difference in power or mpg. Main reason i purchased was for the flowmaster sound. It doesn't disappoint there. I would recommend having the exhaust welded after everything settles and you get it in place.

Did the install on a '02 Silverado 1500 in the driveway. If you live in the snow belt, expect to break the studs when removing the old system. You'll need to grind off, drill out and replace with bolts. That was the worst of it.

Delivers the sound I wanted; not obnoxious, a sweet rumble at idle and a very mellow reminder at cruising speeds. I would heartily recommend this cat-back system. It bolted up just as described and offers a great looking finish with the chrome tips. Be advised you probably will need to purchase exhaust hangars because the ones you have will be difficult to re-use and/or are aged.

First of all ill say I'm somewhat pleased with the system I ordered. The system is not nearly as loud as I was led to believe. There is little to no drone at all, even with the constant freeway driving and I do a lot. Had it installed by a muffler shop so I could have it welded for security. The fitment isn't exactly that good. Flowmaster pipe bending leaves you scratching your head. I ordered dual side/rear exit, and they do not have proper alignment. The shop charged me less because of this

Good system! Nice throaty sound. Installation wasn't to bad I just had to keep realigning everything. Overall it's a good exhaust system.

My 1999 silverado sounds beautiful with the flowmaster exhaust. The installation was easy except had to make a few trims on the exhaust to make it fit just right. Looks sweet and sounds even sweeter. Great purchase
