Having been a hot rodder for 4 decades ,I know by " the seat of your pants" method how to tell if you actually got a performance gain. My truck got louder, but actually lost a little on top end. It took the ECM a couple of days to learn it,the tone of the exhaust gradually got deeper and louder as the O2 sensor sensed the decrease in back pressure.I have the Hypertech Max Energy programmer with the premium fuel program loaded and a K&N air filter. Now I have a $500 tail pipe and muffler.

This is not a "from the catalytic converter back" exhaust system for the Nissan Frontier. It does not include the Y-pipe. I was surprised to find out it is basically a muffler and tailpipe. However, I got a good deal (on sale + rebate) so I kept it. Easy install. Seems to be good quality. A little loud but only during acceleration, as expected. Barely a difference at cruising, even at highway speed.

The Chrome simply sets of the look for my truck and the tone is just about perfect for the v6. Notice a little more get up but I also have k&n CAI. Resonance is almost non existent in the cab so if you like to still hear your radio with your aftermarket exhaust then you won't go wrong.
