Borla Exhaust Systems Part #11843 Customer Reviews

Quality, sound is what I expected. Appearance-disappointed.

Delivery was quick, although your delivery company did not cover the box in plastic and heavy rain later in the day before I arrived home saturated the box. Installation done by dealer so no comment on how easy. I was charged for 1 hour of labor. Quality and sound is what I expected. Configuration of the stainless tip is not visible, it is tucked up under the rear valance/bumper. I thought it would be more prominent.

This exhaust sounds great and power is smother after installing it. Would rate it 5 stars but it rubs on my Kurt trailer hitch still fits but had to make minor modifications to the hangers.

Three hangers, two bolts and 15 mins of my time was all I needed to combine this exhaust with a K&N drop in filter to let my XV breath. Better bottom end a mid boost as well. The sound is nice as well. Throughty growl just like a Subi should have, but not so loud the the neighbors complain when you come home at night. Also, because the chrome tip sticks out slightly past the bumper, you do not get the dreaded freeway drone one gets from some exhausts. I would recommend this for any new Subaru XV

Borla for 2012 Impreza Sport Prmium

It took about an hour to remove the OEM muffler and install Borla. Very easy to do since the bolts were not that rusty. After installation, I realise that there is more room in the muffler slot. Borla's SS muffler is much smaller than OEM one. The extra elbow room actually helped me when I replaced the OEM 16mm rear sway bar with a STI 19mm one a week later. The exhaust notes from the Borla are louder but not too loud that would wake up the neighbors. Ilike that. I will definitely recommend it.

Great exhaust for the money

Gives your XV or Impreza wagon a deeper sound, including quite a bit of boxer rumble. Sounds great, with very little droning only around 2k rpm. Above 4k rpm you cannot hear the exhaust over the engine noise from inside. Sounds great from outside.
