Magnaflow Exhaust Systems Reviews

Perfectly elegant

Reviewed By David S (Dix Hills, NY) Reviewed for a 2004 BMW 6-Series —6/28/2011 8:37 PM

I did quite a bit of research before ordering my Magnaflow exhaust for my BMW 645ci. I wanted a deep throaty sound like a pedigreed European car should sound without being disturbing or overly loud...and that's just what I got! The system is beautiful and the installation, according to my mechanic, was a thing of beauty. Engineered to fit perfectly. My only suggestion is that it would be great to have a little adjustment fo fine tune the placement fo the exhaust tips. One is slightly off, about 1/4-3/8 inches closer to the opening but we coudln't make any adjustment . Nobody will notice but me but that is the one slight thing I pichked up on. Great job!

Here's a GREAT TIP...

Highest quality for great looks. AA beats best advertised price the can confirm. I preferred to cut off clamp and weld on - a little cleaner and permanent, trouble-free installation. Chose to weld scrap length of thick 1/8" wall 3" OD exhaust pipe to shim from stock exhaust 2.75" OD to 3" tip ID.

turn some heads with this one

The sound is awesome, mellow at idle with an aggressive growling rumble on acceleration that mellows out again at cruising speed. I would leave the stock resonator in because there is a slight 1700-2000 rpm drone if you don't. The truck gets plenty of compliments on the sound and has more low end torque.
