Borla Exhaust Systems Reviews

Jim's 93 VETTE

Reviewed By M James K (Jacksonville, VT) Reviewed for a 1993 Chevy Corvette —10/19/2009 11:30 AM

The sound of the exhaust is awsome . It is also very good stainless steel that was used in the system . The insulation was fairly easy except for the fact that I had to drill out the three holes in the plate on the driver side connecting the pipe to the converter.(They were to small) I was very disappointed in the looks of the exhaust tips for the money you pay for this product, I would of thought that they could at least have rolled the edges on the back so they didn't look like a tin can.

Magnaflow cat back exhaust on 1993 LT1 Corvette Coupe

Reviewed By Kevan C (Severance, CO) Reviewed for a 1993 Chevy Corvette —1/23/2009 12:47 PM

I've had the new Magnaflow Exhaust on my car about two weeks and have only driven it a few times since. So, not a lot of experience with it so far. Initially though I feel the system is a good value for the money paid compared to some of the other big name exhaust companies. There are a few items I would have liked to seen done a little different. First of all, I really like the dual 4" exhaust tips on each muffler. On the system I received, one muffler has the weld seams at the 10 o'clock position so when you're looking at the back of the car they cannot be seen. However, on the other muffler, the one weld seam is at 10 o'clock on one and the other is at the 6 o'clock position which sticks out like a sore thumb. I would call this a quality control issue. I'm also not too crazy about how the mufflers tip down in the back instead of up like the stock mufflers when looking at the car from the side. I also wish they would have cleaned up the visible welds a little better but that's something I can do when I have time. The sound is mellow. Sounds pretty much like the stock system at idle. I haven't had someone drive it by me yet to hear what it sounds like. Other than those points I like the system and seems to be good bang for the buck. It doesn't feel like there is any difference in performance but I didn't really expect any.

Corsa Pro Series Sport Exhaust part #14111

Reviewed By Tony W (Clayton, GA) Reviewed for a 2002 Chevy Corvette —12/17/2014 12:59 PM

Corsa's the best on the market for pure sound. It's quiet when cruising and brutal when i say so. I own a C5 Z06 and i believe this exhaust was made for my vette. The look and performance is spot on and was easy to install in only 45 minutes. The price was far better than any other competitor and was at my house in 3 days. I really wouldn't recommend anyone with an LS6 to get the extreme version unless you want a ticket for noise pollution. The "sport" is a beast all by itself when you mash the pedal. But you still have to be careful around cops!!
