"2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 6.0 Vortec Max. These shorty style headers were a great bolt on upgrade. JBA is a well known and proven performance maker. I went with the silver ceramic coated headers for better gains and temp control. The installation was somewhat more difficult than I had presumed. I installed these, with an extra set of hands, in a home shop. Hardest part was removing the stock manifold flange bolts. Lots of room to work under the hood of the fullsize chevy, no problem there. Installing the new headers, no too bad... just getting the head bolts to lineup through the gaskets. Take my advice and have someone there to help. There was no difference in sound with stock exhaust. The first drive after installing, I could feel a difference in throttle response and acceleration. Don't expect a huge difference. The engine seems to run smoother and have more power available during acceleration. I am overall satisfied with this product. Next, a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system." —Travis G from Moultrie, GA bought a JBA Cat4ward Headers for a 2006 Chevy Silverado.
"Overall I am very pleased with the Doug Thorley headers. I consider myself a competent do it yourselfer and here's my take on the DT headers. The finish of the materials is of good enough quality. The face on the header where the exhaust manifold gasket sits had machining marks. I would liked to have this surface finished smooth. The exhaust ports were rough ground out and not polished smooth. One collector wasn't exactly centered on the catalytic flange before it was welded. One of the exhaust tubes was not ground flush after welding it to another. I would correct these issues if I were using these headers for competition. The finish of the chrome and ceramic was great. No increase in exhaust noise after installation. After the install, I noticed more low end torque and pickup! Yes, I would recommend DT header for your Xterra." —Michael C from Allentown, NJ bought a Doug Thorley Headers for a 2006 Chevy Silverado, 4.0L V6.
"Good price, kind of a pain to install on my '06 Chevy silverado. Quick shipping. All in all, a great product from a great company." —Robert J from Sugar Grove, WV bought a JBA Cat4ward Headers for a 2006 Chevy Silverado.
"Great power addition to my truck. Headers were easy to install, look outstanding. These headers were installed on a 6.0L vortecMAX motor that was swapped into my 2006 Chevy truck in place of the factory 5.3L motor. Headers matched up perfectly to existing exhaust connections." —David W from Edneyville, NC bought a JBA Cat4ward Headers for a 2006 Chevy Silverado.
"These headers improved all around performance on my silverado. If I even buy another truck or car the first thing im go to get is another set of these headers." —Andrew G from Fontana, CA bought a Doug Thorley Headers for a 2006 Chevy Silverado.
"Beautiful finish, and exceptionally well manufactured.
However, the gaskets they shipped were junk. Like, didn't last a week junk!
Other than that, well-worth the price, and AutoAnything was a breeze to work with!" —Matt B from Reading, PA bought a Doug Thorley Headers for a 2006 Chevy Silverado.
