Installation a breeze, removal of stock exhaust not so much

Reviewed By Nelson R (Peru, IN) Reviewed for a 2010 Dodge Nitro —6/22/2012 7:30 PM

Installation of system was a snap! Had it on in 30 minutes. However, removal of the stock system was a royal pain. Stock exhaust is all one piece from the muffler to the exhaust tip. Removal of the right rear shock and sway bar link along with a floor jack to lift the body was necessary to gain the needed clearance to remove it. If you wanted to hack it into pieces for removal, you would greatly reduce the 2.5 hrs I spent in disassembly. New system has a terrific sound and gains in low end acceleration have been noticed. Overal, it was time well spent.

2011 Hemi Ram.

This y pipe replaces the crimped end to your stock y pipe. Unless you can weld and bend pipe, you need to go to an exhaust shop. I had them replace the pipe under the transmission while they were at it. That pipe has a flat spot that runs along it. My shop charged $100 for everything, well worth it too. Improved throttle response slightly and fuel economy.
