Quiet yet still sounds good

This muffler I think would be better suited for a larger engine. My HEMI on my new Ram doesn't give it the echoey sound I hear on other Flowmasters. Going to order a 50HD series soon

Louder than expected

Reviewed By charlie d (garden grove, CA) Reviewed for a 2014 Dodge Ram —10/24/2015 7:23 AM

I have to say, I'm no mod expert. I had this installed at a local muffler shop for a very reasonable price. The installer said that it was very easy to put in and the total time it took him was less than an hour. When finished, I was really impressed at the sound when starting the vehicle. Perfect rumble. Sound was aggressive but not loud. The issue I had was at cruising speeds. It was alot louder in the cabin than I had read by others.I also have a mopar cai, so that may make the muffler louder

Just right for me...

Reviewed By Paul C (Lake Grove, NY) Reviewed for a 2012 Dodge Ram —11/26/2013 5:47 AM

After much research, I decided to buy this model for my Ram 1500 with 4.7L. I didn't want the over-the-top look-at-me sounding muffler. This deepens the note just right for me and gives a nice rumble in the first few gears and then subsides a bit. There's some slightly additional cabin noise than stock until it gets into cruising gear, which is to be expected with a muffler like this. I had a muffler shop install it because I wanted it welded not clamped. If you want loud, go with the 40 series.
