Gibson Exhaust Systems Reviews

An all around great exhaust (01' explorer sport)

Reviewed By Ian B (Saltsburg, PA) Reviewed for a 2001 Ford Explorer —4/16/2010 4:21 AM

This is the first exhaust I have purchased for any vehicle I have owned. But it was money well spent so far. Out of the box the stainless exhaust just looks good and ten times better on the vehicle. It took more time to get the old exhaust off than it did to get the new one on, granted I do have a big lift in my garage. I knew ahead of time I couldn't reuse the stock flange bolts as it states in the directions. So save yourself the headache and go buy new ones, also anti-seize all the threads on every bolt. Overall I am extremely impressed with quality and ease of installation. It isn't a loud exhaust, it sounds good idleing and under acceleration. But quiets down at highway speeds. It added power throughout the rpm range too. Money well spent!

Heartthrob Deep Tone Cat Back Dual Exhaust on 2001 Explorer Trac

Reviewed By Richard G (Nanticoke, PA) Reviewed for a 2001 Ford Explorer —5/2/2008 11:30 AM

Overall This is a great product, It took about an hour to install, most of which was taking the stock exhaust off, and was extremely easy to put on. I've noticed an immediate increase in horsepower and gas mileage and love the deep tone my truck now has. The only bad part was waiting for it to come in, butwith free shipping it's hard to complain.

Gibson Slash Exhaust Tip Reviews

Gibson Slash Exhaust Tip for 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer

Reviewed By Stephen W (FREDERICKSBURG, VA) Reviewed for a 2006 Ford Explorer —6/26/2015 7:02 AM

The installation was fairly simple but you should make sure to "scrub" clean your exhaust pipe and use a metal polish to finish the job before installing the Gibson slash exhaust tip. The exhaust tip I ordered was 12 inches long but it could have been up to 14 or 15 inches long. I would have gladly paid more to get a longer exhaust tip. Very smart looking on my Explorer and it really dresses it up.
