2002 Explorer XLT, 4.0 Litre. I used a set of ramps and backed the vehicle onto them and of course, chocked the wheels. I had plenty of clearance. The instructions from Gibson suggest cutting off the tailpipe section, which is not necessary, as the upper clamp over the rear axle, once loosened, allows for easy removal. Patience goes a long way, making sure clearances and alignment are good. Good performance, sounds terrific, very mellow, able to converse and listen to the stereo.
