"I like the exhaust very much. Followed instructions, which were easy to follow. Good quality of tubing and muffler. Fit very well on my 2001 Ford F-150 crew Cab. The only concern I have with this heavy duty exhaust is the small puny clamps that come with the package. The clamps need to be heavier in quality to actually tighten the joints of pipe." —C. E. F from Rantoul, IL bought a JBA Performance Exhaust for a 2001 Ford F-150, SuperCrew, 4.6L V8.
"The cost is not high considering you get a aircraft grade stainless steel system that you will never need to replace unless you break it. The sound is second to none. It went on easy and looks as great as it sounds." —Charles N from Fleming Island, FL bought a Borla Exhaust Systems for a 2001 Ford F-150.
"Well engineered. System fit up over the axel and around the spare perfectly. A little trimming is required to get the look just right (as advertised). System was pretty easy to install tail pipe hangers could be a little longer to make install easier, but do work.
Sound great! Very happy so far, will see how it holds up in northwest PA. climate." —Steve S from Spartansburg, PA bought a Heartthrob Deep Tone Cat-Back Dual Exhaust Kit for a 2001 Ford F-150, Non-Lightning, 5.4L V8.
"the sound is much improved over stock. Highway sound is excellent.Installation was easy and fit is good." —Michael C P from Haverhill, FL bought a Borla Exhaust Systems for a 2001 Ford F-150.
"Easy to install, after uninstalling the old exhaust.Great sound. I did notice some increase in power. Had to cut out old exhaust. I love it on my 4.6.
Next upgrades are headers and
mass air sensor. Watch out big blocks." —Leonard T from Ballwin, MO bought a Borla Exhaust Systems for a 2001 Ford F-150.
"I was looking to get my truck (F150 4.2 V6) sounding more like a truck, with that low rumbling. I get that sound with this setup, but only at low rpms, at higher rpms it sounds like those cheap mufflers kids throw on their civics. I knew there was really nothing I could do to make my V6 sound like a V8, so my expectations were not too high, but still I was hoping for a bit more.
I ran into a few problems during the install, but not because the setup was lacking at all. It's an easy setup to install, the hardest part is getting the stock exhaust out. The adapter that comes with this setup fits, but not flush so I will need to seal it, but I would expect this with any bolt on system. Welding would be the ideal solution.
I do feel an increase in horsepower, which is always nice." —Brian W from Columbia, MD bought a Gibson Exhaust Systems for a 2001 Ford F-150, Regular cab, 6' 6" short bed, 4.2L V6.
