"I am very pleased with my MBRP exhaust, it has a nice quality sound but not obnoxiously loud. It was very easy to install and the dual chrome exhaust tips look great! Overall very excited about my purchase." —Matthew L from Onalaska, WI bought a MBRP Exhaust Systems for a 2004 Ford F-150, New body style, SuperCrew, short bed, 5.4L V8.
"this exhaust is perfect. not too loud but still has that deep growl you look for. installing took longer than expected but overall its a great exhaust especially for the price." —Matthew A from Cooper City, FL bought a Flowmaster Exhaust Systems for a 2004 Ford F-150, New body style, 5.4L V8.
"Great deep melow tone, and is very quiet inside the cab. Installation wasn't hard at all. Took two of us around 2hours to install for mainly for the exhaust pipe was to close to the spare tire and had to make adjustments to keep the pipe away from the spare tire." —Todd M from Sewickley, PA bought a Gibson Exhaust Systems for a 2004 Ford F-150, New body style, regular cab, short bed, 4.6L V8.
"Everyone who hears them likes 'em. Not to loud not to soft Just right... Had a local garage put them on. Installer said it went very smooth. He likes 'em too. He put them on in about 50 mins. I installed 4 different sets of pipes on my harley lookin' for the right sound. This Ford got it right the first time. Thank you Heartthrop!" —Robert S from New Port Richey, FL bought a Heartthrob Deep Tone Cat-Back Dual Exhaust Kit for a 2004 Ford F-150.
"Great system offers an instant noticeable increase in horsepower. Looks great and sounds great! Better yet, the sound in the cab is not overbearing, just a nice gentle rumble (which actually put my 3 year old to sleep). But, when you step on it, it won't let you forget it's there.
I had this installed at a local garage because you really need a lift. $160 bucks to install.
** Warning - the instruction for the F150 assume you have no hitch. The garage could not utilize my stock hanger locations as the pipes would conflict with the hitch. So, They spot-welded the included hangers to the sides of the hitch - problem solved.
I would buy this system again." —Mark Z from Ballston Spa, NY bought a Magnaflow Exhaust Systems for a 2004 Ford F-150.
"Installation was a little difficult, but I only had to cut 3" off the trail pipe. My F150 runs so much smoother now, it was hard to believe this change would make so much of an improvement. The help from Gibson customer service was first rate!" —Nick C from Scenery Hill, PA bought a Gibson Exhaust Systems for a 2004 Ford F-150, New body style, regular cab, 6' 6" short bed, 4.6L V8.
"The Gibson D.S. exhaust is a very neat, custom-looking set of pipes that installed very easy. I tried to take the old exhaust off without cutting, but the muffler on the '04 F-150 is about 40 lbs.! So a little slice and dice and it came right out. The new pipes went in easy, just don't forget the clamps! Words of advice: Don't tighten anything until you're sure the pieces are in the right spot. I had to pull it back in the garage once to re-fit the inside pipe of the dual-exit exhaust. Have a buddy check the alignment of the dual pipes and then tighten from the front to the rear, checking for a solid fit each time. Otherwise you'll be working on it for a lot longer than they say. Once it was on, the combination of my AFE cold air intake and the Dual Sport was amazing! I think the first time I could really get on it I said "Holy S**t!!" and my buddy said I had an ear-to-ear grin! Very good for a v-8 Truck 5.4 liter engine. Thanks Gibson, AFE, and of course AutoAnything for their low prices!" —Matt R from Westminster, CO bought a Gibson Exhaust Systems for a 2004 Ford F-150.
"once your old system is removed, installation and directions are easy to follow, removal of old exhaust takes the most time, nice deep tone, not to loud, but lets you know its there, when you step on it!fast shipping, waited two days!" —Sean L from Francestown, NH bought a Flowmaster Exhaust Systems for a 2004 Ford F-150, New body style, 4.6L V8.
"The installation was easy it took about two hours in my yard on ramps to complete. Make sure you know if your truck has heavy towing package or not, the hangers for the tips are different in the kit if you have the heavy duty towing package but i modified the ones that came with the kit and it was fine. it was a little pricey but well worth the investment. The sound is great not to loud and has a deep tone to it. The three inch pipes makes it breath so much better too." —Ronald M from Orange, MA bought a Banks Monster Exhaust System for a 2004 Ford F-150, New body style, SuperCab, 6' 6" short bed.
"As usual, shipping from AutoAnything was fast! Overall, the installation was very straight forward. It was more difficult to remove the old system than it was to install the new.
The fit and finish are quite good and the product has the appearance of a well designed, high-quality exhaust system. After installation, be patient in aligning the dual exhaust tips - it takes a bit of time to get them just right.
The sound is quite nice - like a truck should sound! I have not had the system on long enough to determine if my gas mileage has improved, but my sense is it has not.
Overall: Very Happy" —Ricky B from Severance, CO bought a Gibson Exhaust Systems for a 2004 Ford F-150, New body style, SuperCab, 6' 6" short bed, 5.4L V8, manufactured before 8/04.
"It was so easy to put the Banks monster exhaust on. It took me longer to take the stock exhaust off. the sound is nice not loud when your going down the highway but when you get on it for a stop the sound is there. This exhaust system it GREAT." —Ryan K from Hartland, WI bought a Banks Monster Exhaust System for a 2004 Ford F-150, New body style, SuperCrew cab, 5' 6" short bed.
