"This was an easy to install D I Y project. It looks great and sounds even better. On my Raptor 6.2 It is a must have if you can only do one thing to your truck." —Bill D from Lake Elsinore, CA bought a Magnaflow Exhaust Systems for a 2012 Ford F-150.
"I have an 06' Super cab w/ the 5.4 Triton motor. This cat-back system is everything Gibson says it is. The quality is great, fit excellent and installation easy. The installation took about 2 1/2 hours (I have a lift so it may take you longer, but the Fords sit up pretty high so it would'nt be too difficult w/o one). Fit was very good, did'nt have to strugle w/ anything.
Hint: take the bolts right off the hangers where they are attached to the frame rails and drop the whole section (muffler and tail pipe). This is much easier than trying to pull the muffler back out of the rubber hangers (It's a heavy SOB). Reattach the hangers before the new system goes on.
Not sure why Gibson did'nt try to utilize the rear most stock hanger on the passenger side vs. installing a new one, but it works out regardless.
The sound is very mellow when cruising, and not too loud but noticable when you punch it, just right for me. Barely audible at idle. If you want a loud system this is not for you.
Power, response and torque gains are noticable, but I have the Jet spacer and K&N filter, and that helps I'm sure.
The split rear with the pipes exiting behind the rear wheels looks awesome!" —Dennis F from Poughkeepsie, NY bought a Gibson Exhaust Systems for a 2012 Ford F-150, SuperCab, 6' 6" short bed, 5.4L V8.
"The Heartthrob exhaust was a very high quality system with all of the necessary parts for installation. The only problem I experienced was with the installation instructions. The information for inswtallation of the hangers was not very good. I utilized online YouTube videos to aid in my installation" —Steve R from Williamstown, WV bought a Heartthrob Cat-Back Exhaust System for a 2012 Ford F-150.
"Does not have the responce it did with factory system ! Maybe I just expected more !" —Shawn S from Crosby, TX bought a Heartthrob Cat-Back Exhaust System for a 2012 Ford F-150.
"So far the system is working as hope. I put in a stage 1 CAI and a 4" CAT back. There is a noticeable rumble to the system but not overpowering. The Eco Boost is a quick truck, but this appear very noticeably quicker. Haven't had the opportunity to see if there is more power & torque, but I am towing my trailer this weekend. Also on the first calculation it seems 1 or 2 mile per gallon increase in gas mileage unloaded." —John G from Inkom, ID bought an aFe Exhaust Systems for a 2012 Ford F-150.
"Well this is the 3rd set that I have owned and installed personally. I installed it in my garage on the ground in 45 minutes.
The sound is great and gives a lot more HP...." —Ricky G from Charlotte , NC bought a Flowmaster Exhaust Systems for a 2012 Ford F-150.
"Easy install. Removal of stock exhaust takes longer. Top quality. Nice material. Nice welds." —Richard J from Prescott Valley, AZ bought a Magnaflow Exhaust Systems for a 2012 Ford F-150.
"This system is great, especially for a V-6. It will never sound like a V-8 BUT it still has a great sound. It was very easy to put on, the directions kinda suck but they are easy to decipher, but for the price they should be a little more user friendly. Definitely better to have a lift and two people to do it, but it can be done without a lift. Hope this review is helpful, overall, great system!" —Matthew J from Olive Hill, KY bought a Heartthrob Cat-Back Exhaust System for a 2012 Ford F-150.
