Great product

This was the final piece to my exhaust system. First I got the JBA cat back exhaust and it added performance and a nice sound. Then I got the JBA headers and I didn't notice any significant differance. So I decided to get these Magnaflow performance cats and it realy helped to let my headers flow better. Sound is deeper now and performance is great. Magnaflow was the only one to offer "perfomance cats". Huge differance from my old California cats. I highly recommend these.

Outstanding Value and Performance

Reviewed By Edward Z (Mays Landing, NJ) Reviewed for a 2004 GMC Sierra —8/11/2011 8:44 PM

This converter was a drop-in installation. Once I acquired a deep socket and a socket wrench entension, the installation was a breeze. Total installation time was less than 1 hour for this disabled shade tree mechanic. The hardest part was the removal of the O2 sensor. After driving for almost 2 weeks, I have seen a marked improvement in mileage. Granted I purchased this car used, the EPA highway estimate was 26 mpg, but on a recent trip, I ran over 32 mpg consistently! For a 10 year old car, I will NOT sneeze at this economy!

Great improvement

Reviewed By Tony F (CEDAR FALLS, IA) Reviewed for a 1997 Dodge Ram —12/19/2014 4:00 AM

Was a basic bolt in, had to replace both O2 sensors, because of their age and the rust. Have seen an improvement in gas mileage.
