Magnaflow Catalytic Converters - 50 State California Legal Reviews

Fully Functional, but no new nuts and bolts?

Reviewed By Brian B (SAN DIEGO, CA) Reviewed for a 1997 Honda Accord —4/27/2014 9:18 AM

Magnaflow makes a functional catalytic converter for the 3.4 V6 in my 2000 4Runner. Installation of this part is relatively easy, but would have been even easier if they would have the 4 bolts and six nuts (2 for the O² sensor). If you have thread files or a tap and die set, then you'll have no problem. Average Joe does not have Snap-on thread files laying around and I still barely got them to thread. Vehicle passed smog and didn't throw a code, so jackpot for me.

Rastern Direct-fit Converters

The Catalytic converter for the '99 CR-V fit like a glove. The Honda master mechanic who installed it was very impressed. I also installed new 2 Denso O2 (up & down stream) sensors. I will drive it for a few weeks before I have the Emissions test, then I'll know how well it went. This is the second converter I have purchased from Eastern and will get more in the future, if needed. However, I never did get my discount from my 1st purchase for my 2003 Honda Civic a couple of yrs. ago.
