Clean Looking Pipe

Reviewed By Dario B (Herndon, VA) Reviewed for a 2000 Jeep Cherokee —4/3/2009 8:51 PM

I needed a replacement exhaust for my Jeep since the factory one was shot, so I purchased this one for 265 shipped. For the money, I could'nt be happier. It's a pretty clean looking install (and easy), sounds really nice at idle with a deep gurgle, and under accelleration, and doesn't resonate in the cabin while cruising. Someone in an earlier review mentioned how the sound changed a few days after the install, and I have to agree. After about three days of daily driving the growling, rumbling sound has gotten a bit deeper. All in all a solid looking/performing exhaust that's fairly easy to get installed. The only issues I had when installing was getting old one off, adjusting the hanger to properly fit, and after fitting, I had to trim about 3 inches off the end of the pipe exiting out the rear; it was just too long and after the chrome tip was put on, it just looked awkward. I have also noted a slight increase in MPG, but not sure if this is also due to the fact that when I did the exhaust I also replaced rear leaf springs, all 4 shocks and 4 new tires... Overall, though, nice looking pipe.

Glad I took a chance

Reviewed By Jason K (Succasunna, NJ) Reviewed for a 1999 Jeep Cherokee —7/6/2006 5:53 AM

The pictures anywhere online, including at AutoAnything, don't show that the tip is actually square at the exit. It is, and very nicely finished.

Didn't fit tight

Reviewed By Robert P (Darien, IL) Reviewed for a 2014 Nissan Frontier —3/5/2015 11:21 PM

When I first put it on my 2014 Frontier it fit loosely so I had to cut a tin can and wrap it around the tail pipe and slide the part over it to get a solid fit.
