"SPECIAL" PIPE

Reviewed By CHAD J (Houston, TX) Reviewed for a 2008 Jeep Patriot —6/8/2010 5:44 AM

My review is special because the pipe I bought does not actually fit my vehicle. I was told before I ordered that this system fits both 4x2 & 4x4 models, however when the pipe came in and I took it to my friend at the muffler shop to help install it, we found that the middle/center pipe had an un-needed mandrel bend that just got in the way, so could not be installed. I called Magnaflow and was told that no, they do not make a system for 4x4 model. Yaaayyy!!! So we had to be creative and make our own "straight-shot" pipe from the cat to the muffler. Doesn't look nearly as pretty, had to do some welding, but is actually a more direct link. So it's just do-able now, no other choice.

Flowmaster 50 Series Delta Flow Mufflers Reviews

Welder fabricater

Reviewed By Andrew M (High Rolls Mountain Park, NM) Reviewed for a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee —12/26/2017 7:36 AM

The muffler arrived with one side scraped up which wasn't a concern for me. Installation was easy. Just make sure you have clearance where the tail pipe bends next to where the spare tire heat shield is located. I had to cut and reposition the rear hangar to move the pipe over about an inch. The 50 series is quiet and slightly louder then the stock muffler. I was told by the sales person that the 40 series was ubnoctously loud and I should get the 50 series. I should have gone with the 40.
