Gibson Exhaust Performance Headers Reviews

Gibson Header for 09' Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara

Reviewed By Thomas L (MICKLETON, NJ) Reviewed for a 2009 Jeep Wrangler —8/25/2013 12:26 PM

You will have cuts and bruises on your hands installing these. Passenger side went on with no problems. Driver side install was a beast. Can not get a torque wrench on any bolt on Driver side. I think I used every combination of box, open end, crows foot and socket wrench I had in my arsenal. I paired the headers with a Gibson split rear exhaust. Jury still out on MPG and HP gains.

Gibson split Exhaust

Reviewed By Thomas L (MICKLETON, NJ) Reviewed for a 2009 Jeep Wrangler —8/25/2013 12:21 PM

Exhaust system went on with no problem at all. Hardest thing to do was get the old clamp off of existing system. Used a good amopunt of PB Blaster and with a little leather mallet to the old system, it came right off. The passenger side hanger was a wee bit too long which cocked the whole muffler down around 5/8" inch but I bent the Jeep bracket up to compensate. Has a nice rich tone to it. As to whether or not I get more HP or more MPG, too soon to tell.

Borla Exhaust Systems Reviews

Best money can buy

Reviewed By Dan T (Bigler, PA) Reviewed for a 2009 Jeep Wrangler —10/14/2009 10:31 AM

I first put a k&n 77series cold air intake on, then the borla cat back dual on my Jeep. It has really made my Jeep come alive. Biggest difference is on the open road I can now use gear six without bogging down. Fuel economy is about .5 miles better per gallon.Sound of the borla is a bit louder than stock. I would never own another JK without the exhaust.
