Looks great, hard to install and not loud enough

I decided on this exhaust because of the welded on tip. It looks great. I do have a couple of complaints. One is that the pipes were extremely difficult to slide into the muffler. Most mufflers have a slit on the inlet and outlet pipe to allow the tail pipe to slide in easly and just clamp down. I had to use a hammer with a block of wood for this one and I'm not sure I got the rear pipe in as far as it could go. But after I tightened everything up there were no leaks.
Other complaint is that this exhaust is simply too quiet. I was not looking for a top fuel dragster sound, but you can barely tell this is not a stock exhaust. At idle is is just about silent unless you are right at the tail pipe. It does have a nice tone under acceleration and I like the popping when you let off the gas, but I just wish it were louder. I may replace the muffler and re-use the pipes, if I can get them apart.
